College don't have any dress code, we can use casual dress.
Other then hostels, students can stay in pg near the college.

There are too many rules inside the college.
Teachers treat the students like a school kid.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Yeah the course computer science and engineering is a good course for me in this college. All faculties in this branch are very good in teaching. Student can extra time to grow their skills. The exams also conducted in their time. But they provide the exam dates just few days before the exam.

Class Size : 186Course Fees : INR 100000 per year

Placement Experience :

The campus placement is Little bit hard to get,as there are lots of competitions. Companies are not hiring more students like before the lockdown time . But although that students prepare for off campus placements.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Before 2023 batch the fees structure was different from now. Like before 2023 it was 41000 to 43000, but now it is 50000 in even semister and 62000 in odd semister. Scholarships are aslo approved by the college. Like the SVMCM of amount 60000 per year.

Campus Life :

Campus life is not so good in this college as the area of the campus is about 11 acer. The college is situated in a rural area so big malls and markets are not in close to it. But yes the communication for travelling is good enough,as the station is very close to it.

Hostel Facilities :

I'm not in hostel. But as i have heard that the hostels are neat and clean but with a little strict rules inside the hostel. Meals are good enough. Affordable fees for the hostels, like 5k per month. I'm staying in a pg near the college with 2k for the room and 2k for the food.

Hostel Fee : INR 60000 per year

Admission :

Admission are possible like by donating and by giving the WBJEE. I had got 14599 rank and got the Computer Science and Engineering branch. You can search the exam details in the wbjee site.

Faculty :

Yeah the number of faculties are available are enough to run the classes. Like i each subject there are 3-4 faculties in each year. The faculties are available after the classes also. Student can interact with them in the free period.

Review of IEM Kolkata, a strict Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.

Placement Experience:

Students from 5th semester onwards become eligible for campus placements TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, and Redhat are just a few examples of some service-based companies that offer placements to uem kolkata students. The highest package was 72 LPA and the average was 8.8 LPA. Almost 70-80% got placed. After getting the degree I want to be a javascript developer

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.
