Faculty of the college is very helpful . All the faculty members are very well qualified and always looking forward to help students in any possible way
Teaching techniques of the teachers of college is very good. A very unique and understanding method for teaching is common between all the professors.

Since there's no hostel provided for college students, students always depend upon PG's or Rented rooms around the college campus
Institute is a part of HIMACHAL PRADESH UNIVERSITY but due to separated campus from University, there are several facilities provided by University to university students but college students are unable to avail all the facilities

Course Curriculum Overview :

UIT is the only engineering college under HPU in Himachal Pradesh makes it one of the best engineering colleges around Himachal Pradesh. While HPU is also itself one of the highest ranked universities all over the India.

Class Size : 75Course Fees : INR 450000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

College provide all the permission required for the internship. Students can choose any internship according to their needs in any company they like. Internship comes as a good way for students to understand the actual working of the system.

Placement Experience :

Usually in 4th year several companies approach the college for hiring the students. There's a good placement rate every year for the college. Average salary package of the college last year went upto 6.5LPA .Further students are hired accordingly to their performance in the interview.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee structure for the engineering is common among UIT , NIT and IIT. All over cost of education for four years will go around 4.5 lakhs to 5 lakhs only as the fees. Further there are several needs of a student which makes the cost a little bit higher.

Campus Life :

UTKARSH, one the biggest fest held every year in HIMACHAL PRADESH UNIVERSITY. It is organised by UIT's students every year in month of December. College environment is also very peaceful which is very helpful for students.

Admission :

An common entrance exam is held every year for addmission to the college. Every one is ranked on their performance in the exam. Eligibility for the course is that student must be a science student with mathematics as major while having 50% in 12th exams. Students can easily apply online through University website.

Faculty :

Faculty members are very well qualified. Always looking forward to help the students in any possible ways. Every member of college faculty is a well educated person from top ranked universities. Easy approach and interaction between students and faculty members make everything easy for students.

Companies do come to our college for placements. And students become eligible for campus placement after 7 semester . And after completing their degree they are placed to companies . 40% students get placement every year .

College is good if you only want degree at affordable cost but its not for you if you want to enjoy your college life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculam is not good. Focus is more on theory rather than on Practical knowledge. Students have to study on their own to be industrial ready. Students study through online and offline courses to be ready to work in industry. Course curriculum doesn't prepares us for the real-world applications, we have to learn it all by our own. There are two sessional exams in middle of every semester conducted by college itself and one final exam at the end of semester conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Technical University.

NIT Hamirpur- The campus that feels like heaven.

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th sem are eligible for placements. The highest package offered last year was 1.7 CPA. Around 80% of the students get placed here.Companies like Amazon, Samsung,Paytm,TCS, IBM, Infosys,Oracle, Accenture, Bloomberg etc often visit here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had completed a diploma in civil engineering that's why I was looking for a college to do my degree. The overall experience here was not on the good side due to many reasons. First, you'll find many teachers who'll come and teach here for 6 months and leave. So the quality of teaching cannot be assured since teachers are changing almost every semester. Exams and midterms were held timely even if they haven't taught you anything about a particular subject.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good the best placement is of the CSE branch. The Average package is about 5-6 lakh and the highest package is 20-25 lakh. It is all about your skills and the knowledge you have gained in your whole college life. Rest placement is good about 100-200 companies come every year.
