  • Basic amenities like air condition is not present in most of the colleges
  • Colleges of north campus recieve all the fame while offcampus colleges remain as such

Course Curriculum Overview :

The faculty of my course is really good which is history and my college also offers some courses on the side if you want to pursue them which might be helpful in real life after graduating from college which are politically based and can help students who want to become psephologists and pursue any other politics related field and also provides several other courses which might help in real life.

Internships Opportunities :

Our colleges have collaborated with several companies to provide stipend-paying internships which help students to become somewhat independent and begin the real challenges of life. Companies such as YOUVAH have appeared and taken students for internships.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees of any student depend on their course but it is very managable for any one which is 14,000 rupees and also provides reservation for sc/st and OBC classes . My college collaborate with companies on regular basis to provide internship to students and also provide summer internship program.

Campus Life :

The campus life of DU is alright. There are several festivals which keep happening here and there. In several colleges, sports is very supported by college faculty members. There is a very strong student union in our university which helps students to raise their voices.

Admission :

Admission to Delhi University is done through a central exam which is CUET. There are several high-ranking colleges in DU. The application form can be found on the NTA website and can be filled out there. But the admission process was not at all transparent and students had to face several issues regarding their admissions.

Faculty :

The faculty members of my college, which is Maharaja Agarsen College. Its faculty members are somewhat qualified but they are very approachable in real life also. They stay very keen to make students learn new stuff which is very important for a good faculty in any college around the world.

Other Applied Colleges

Chandigarh University - [CU] | Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Law [BALLB] {Hons.}

Because i got DU and DU is more prestigious

Placement Experience:

Sri Venkateswara College provides placements for Science and Commerce Students, not for BA Students. The college has a good record in the placement cell. I am an Arts student so I don't have any placement. So I choose UPSC as my career option. I will try until I succeed.

Placement cells do not provide placements to English graduates. Only a few companies came to hire English graduates. I'm planning to do a master's or B.Ed to secure a career in teaching after my graduation.

6th-semester students are eligible to apply for campus placements. Companies like Bains and Co., KPMG, etc visit our college. Some are known and some unknown. I did not participate in campus placements as I decided to go for higher studies.

Remarks:

The college is good and faculty teacher is very helpful and the canteen is great. The playground is very big and clean. College has many societies. Admission process is merit based and first cum basis.

Admission:

No, because my admission merit based and my performance and sc quota so I can't face any group discussion, interview, or written tests. My result calculation is sufficient to get admission.

Remarks:

The college is excellent when it comes to academic excellence though it lacks a bit in infrastructure and placements.

Admission:

After giving my 12th class board exams I was looking at potential places to do my graduation from and Delhi University and Jamia millia islamia were on the top of my list due to their reputation and excellent national rankings. I ended up choosing jamia because it had the reputation for being very academics oriented and having a sincere student body. The fact that jamia has an entrance exam was also a draw for me as it ensured my peers were selected on the basis of stiff competition ensuring I got the best environment to pursue my academics.Jamia conducts its entrance exam around june-july with admissions taking place in august. The admission process is pretty straightforward and most of the process such as registration and payment of fees is online. The final registration is done in person in the university itself. Original documents such as 10th and 12th marksheets are required as well as character certificate and school leaving certificate. The list of required documents is available on the university website.

Our college has JEET placement Cell. JEET provides weekly updates on new internships. There are too many opportunities. However my course, Psychology doesn't have placement opportunities as such as Psychology is a complex field that has yet to be Specified in Masters.
