Remarks :
To conclude, I would say that it's the finest college for the students in and around namakkal to study with regards to it's infrastructure, faculty, syllabus, training & placement.
Entrance Preview :
It is an autonomous institution with well framed syllabus and it showed higher percentage of placement accomplishments. Also, it drove innovation in students with various kinds of workshops and seminars. It's an NAAC accredited college as well as undergone NBA accreditation.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum was well defined with the basicsof core engineering as well as the basics of programming. The syllabus was helpful to solve social-economic probelms related to this branch of engineering in daily life. I would give 10/10 for the course framework.
Internships Opportunities :
As of I know, the college management does not provide any internships. But they allow the students to attend internships around the globe. Also, if a student goes on an internship for a month, then a subject in that semester can be bypassed.
Placement Experience :
There is a dedicated set of team for the placement panel and they work with companies around the globe to conduct a drive on campus. Also, the students are trained from their first semester till the last with internal/external trainers for placement. Also, the job opportunities are enormous if thr students makes correct use of the training provided.
College Events :
1. Annual day - The college celebrates the annual day every year with extraordinary enthusiasm from students. The cultural events are always mind blowing one. 2. Syposium/Workshop - Each and every department plans to conduct these events in order to enrich the students with knowledge and experience 3. National/International conferences - With well recognized speakers/researchers, it will be conducted. 4. Annual sports meet for the extra curricular activities. 5. Graduation day - For the passef out graduates 6. Hostel day - For the hostellers 7. Motivation speech by external speakers. 8. Alumni meet and few other events.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is feasible compared to other tier-1 colleges in tamilnadu. It comprises of all the expenses for a financial year (except exam fees for each semester). Also the institution provides free college bus around a span of 60km radius around the campus.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The college provides scholarships for meritorious and poor students selectively (from the management side). Also, the first graduate scholarship is availed along with other scholarships like BC,MBC scholarships. I have no idea about loan facilities.
Campus Life :
The campus life was hassle free since there was no ragging (ragging is strictly prohibited). The college is densely populated with the ratio of men:women more or less like 60:40. There are many extra curricular activities conducted by management overall the institution(rhe institution consists if three engineering colleges)
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel infrastructure is good with the rooms being spacious and with good ventilation. Especially the girls hostel has strict protocols and security like none other hostels. The mess food is also good and is hygienic. But since same menu is repeated, the food will become boring in span of time. Out of 10, infrastructure gets 10 and food gets 7.
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni of the college are working around the globe reaching greater heights in life. They are very much helpful in incorporating interest among students.
Exam Structure :
The exam structure is of internal 50 marks and end semester exam of 50 marks. Grades are calculated based on the sum of both the above. To be precise, the internal 50 marks are split like 10 marks for attendance, 10 marks for assignments/mini projects and the remaining 30 marks based on the two internal exams(15 fir each internal test)
Admission :
I applied through the general counselling conducted by anna university, chennai. The college was available for my cut-off mark and I chose this college in counselling process. After counselling,they will provid a confirmation letter for joining the college..
Faculty :
The faculty are well trained with many of them being doctorate and publishing several researches in national & international journals. Moreover, many of them are friendly and easily approachable for clarifying doubts. The faculty are trained to use all available sources like smart class, e-classroom, etc..
