My review upon GWECA is honest.

Dislikes

  • A bit of infrastructure i kinda dislike along with cleanliness and hygiene isn't upto the mark

Course Curriculum Overview :

I guess the frequency and timing of exams need improvement. The curriculum prepares us about 70% for real-world applications. The subjects in the first year of both semesters should be shuffled and balanced as I feel 2nd sem seems more lengthy and difficult than the 1st sem.

Internships Opportunities :

There are not much if internship opportunities hence we have to look after off-campus internships. Even though we get guidance from our training and placement cell but still it's difficult for a fresher to grab off-campus internships.

Placement Experience :

We generally get an on campus placement of around 6 lpa on an average in startups. But saw many seniors applying for internships after 4th sem and even landing upon a pre-placement offer through their internships.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Our fees is 69000 per year which I guess is okay but there are no enough TWFS seats for the students hence deserving ones are deprived of getting TFWS seats. We also can apply for Pragati scholarship which is beneficial for girls.

Campus Life :

There is an eco club, coding club photography club etc. The library is well-stuffed with required books. About events they are limited. Sports and extracurricular activities are cool in our college as many students engage in them.

Admission :

The admission process was smooth and well-managed. No such reservation benefits except TFWS, which is a con. The admission process of our college should be appreciated except for the reservations, but otherwise everything was good.

Faculty :

Teachers and other faculty members are very approachable and do listen to us and solve our problems. I don't have any complaints regarding teachers and other faculty members. I feel secure and comfortable around them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course I am studying right now is biomedical engineering, this course is not that famous among engineering students, but this course a lot of power, it is different from any other engineering courses, I found this course very interesting and in the upcoming years this course is gonna be a masterpiece says my teachers. The curriculum certainly helds a lot of workshops which help students interact with the teachers and each other and increase there communication skill and analytical thinking, they give students the opportunity to organise the events to boost up there confidence and prepare them for real world. I would suggest to introduce more interdisciplinary courses such as data science with humanities or environmental science with policy studies. The frequency is like there are 2 continuous assessment per semester and end semester examination at the end of the semester, I think it's quite good the internal assessment helps learn the difficulty of the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this because the Curriculum is well curated with the latest technological advancements as well as industry standards. They usually take unit test based examination once in a month to test the performance of the students.

Companies started visiting campus and hiring students from the 7th semester. Many companies like Infosys, Walmart, Cisco, Goldman Sachs, Flipkart, and Wipro come every year to hire students from CS, IT, and other BTech branches. The package offered starts from 2.5 lakhs and goes up to 30 lakhs. 90% got placements every year for the CS branch with an average package of 5 lakhs. Many students opt for higher studies also.

JECRC provides a lot of opportunities but it is totally us how we grab those opportunities. This year over 2000+ students got campus placements and the companies who took our students were Amazon, Cisco ISRO TCS, etc. Many students were placed in Amazon with 44 LPA which was a great achievement for JECRC.
