  • The food because everything here has South Indian punch. If you are someone who like South Indian food then it's good

Course Curriculum Overview :

The campus organizes various functions and fest. The curriculum is filled with various activities like ship visits, Blood donation camp, cleanliness drives. The exams are conducted twice a year with two mid terms in each sem. The exams are quiet easy if you attend the classes and study well.

Placement Experience :

Campus provides placement in the best companies like Torm shipping, chevron, Asp shipping, Synergy group, Stena and many more. The placements record is approximately 80%. If students don't get placement then the one year time period is given by the college in which they will get priority for placements.

The total fees of the campus is 275000. Including the hostels, tuition fees, mess charge ,books , uniform and other amenities. There are no hidden charges also scholarships are available for girls and OBC,SC,ST student by the government and various companies.

Campus Life :

The annual fest being conducted is navgati where various students from different college come to take part in various activities, also all the festival like holi Diwali and sports day and other activities like cleanliness drive and blood donation camp is being organised by the college.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are above average with all the facilities and room is being shared by 3 people considering the fees and all the other aspects it's the best compared to other colleges. Also the availability of wifi gives a very good chance to us to stay connected on our free time.

Admission :

The eligibility criteria is quite simple pcm is required 60% in class 12th. And and entrance test called IMUCET is required to clear and after which enroll in the counselling process and the admission process is quite smooth.

Faculty :

The facilities here are the best in class and on par with other private institutes. They approach and teaches not only theoretical but the practical aspec6of every thing also the visiting faculties are the current sailors themselves.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, I don't have specific details about the current course curriculum or faculty members at the Indian Maritime University in Chennai. It's recommended to visit the official university website or contact the university directly for the most up-to-date and accurate information regarding their curriculum and faculty. Institutions may update their curriculum or faculty details over time, so direct communication with the university would provide the most reliable information.

Placement Experience:

We can go for job opportunities after course completion, as college will not provide any placements. The course tenure of diploma in food production is of 15 months in which 10 months classroom program and 5 months industrial training. The package totally depends upon our skills but roughly it varies from 1.5 lakhs to 3.5 lakhs per annum. My plans are very clear firstly I'll go for 5 Star hotel initially to gain experience then after 2 or 3 years I'll invest in food startup businesses.

Remarks:

The only thing is it had compulsory hostel even you are having home in same city or area. It leads to make gap between your home and family. And they would train you so hard with Parades, drills, Exercise, etc.

Admission:

the admission process of the college include direct application of the students who wanted to take admissions in he diploma course. the diploma course is generally for the duration of 1 year and don't contain detailed information of the subject as compared to a degree course, so the admission process is very simple as compared to other courses.

Placement Experience:

the college doesn't have a placement wing especially for the diploma program but the college does provide assistance to the students about the job opportunities, they have tie-ups with small clinics and medical institutions where the students have to go on their own and apply for the job.
