The YCCE Tales

Dislikes

  • The College canteen doesn't provide hygienic food.
  • The students from all the branches are mixed together into a no. of batches for Campus recruitment training in 7th sem. In technical sessions, only coding languages are taught for the IT, CSE students and not the teachical knowledge of core Branches

Course Curriculum Overview :

The academic syllabus, teaching methods and curriculum are very much on point. Every semester there are 2 mid semester exams and an end semester exam. You get enough time for preparations. And the results are announced in a few days.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

1. The complete cost of my education was 98k for the 1st year then 88 to 90k for the next 3 years. Also, 3k as fees per end sem exam for 8 semesters. Approximately, 3,92,000. 2. Tution fee waiver scheme can be availed by the students having higher scores in the entrance exams.

Campus Life :

The biggest fest of YCCE is named "YASH". It's a week long annual function that has a number of events including technical and cultural. YASH has Traditional Day, Flashmob, DJ Night, Dance and Singing Competitions, Art Exhibition, Fashion Shows, Sports and a Celebrity Night. It is usually scheduled in the month of March or April. Other than that, Technical fests are organized by each department in the month of August or September. These fests are open for everyone. Also, Different Clubs and Student Chapters organize their own events and workshops regularly.

Admission :

I took admission in B. Tech Electrical Engineering in the year 2020 through JEE scores. I scored 78 percentile in the entrance exam. Students can also use their MHTCET scores. The cut offs for IT and CSE branches are higher as compared to the core branches. The details for admission, fees structure and previous year cut offs can be checked online on the official website of the college.

Faculty :

Many of the faculties are excellent at their jobs. They are experienced and good educators, easy to approach and available most of the time. From clearing doubts to extra lessons and guidance they are very helpful. But there are also some faculties who aren't that qualified.

Placement Experience:

Placement is not that good. Overall the average placement is only about 4,00,000 per year. And campus placement are there but it won't provide you high paying jobs you'll have to do that on your own. So focus more on personal skills

Placement Experience:

As I am in second year I don't have that much of idea about the placement but there are very good placements for the printing and intc branch in this college. There I will see near they got the very good packages for this branches and along with CS IT branches they got 40 to 50 lakh packages. Also the college provides the interview sessions and the placement training programs in that the experts come and give training to the students for placement programs. There are various students that are placed in with us countries like Japan Germany's and they are working in ITI and various professions.

I have also got nearly three placements. Currently, I am working in Accenture with a package of 6.5 lpa. I have experienced a decent placement process which was very systematic in that every or each of the students can get placed. For placements, SKNCOE is the best in Maharashtra.
