  • I don't like the hygiene maintenance of my college.
  • I don't the food served in canteen. Only some of the dishes are healthy.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I am pursuing political science honours which is a fantastic subject according to me. Political science is one of the main subject which is required in UPSC. Political science can help me to study international relations and pursing law as well. Professors of political science in my college teaches very well and make sure that the students are understanding each and every aspect of the topic.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee varies from course to course although it is not so expensive. Each and every course is affordable. My course is political science and it's fee is 14000/- per year And there is no other charges of the college as well. There are many scholarships opportunities for the economically weaker sections and the students belonging to lower strata of the society. They have been given these benefits from the college. They have to fill a form and they will receive some amount of money for their further education.

Campus Life :

Delhi University organises many fests in the month of February,March, April and may. Many singers come in the colleges and show their talent. Talking about my college particularly so I would say that in my college there are two fests in the whole year that is the ullas and winter carnival. These fests are very exciting and students wait for these fests to come up. Library of my college consists of many books including all the subjects. my college is also good in extra curricular activities as well.

Admission :

I got this college and the course through an entrance exam termed as CUET. This exam is known as the common university entrance test which is important for students to crack for getting a good college for further studies. Cut off varies from course to course. This exam also holds the reservation policy which would make admission for the lower section of society easier. One of the thing which I didn't liked about the admission process is that, after the exam you have to make a preference list of the colleges. Which I guess was the toughest part for me

Faculty :

My faculty members are very well educated and very knowledgeable people. They had very high qualifications such as masters and PhD as well. Most of them studied form University of Delhi and completed there higher studies from JNU. Teachers are very friendly with the students and treat all the students equally.

Placement Experience:

Sri Venkateswara College provides placements for Science and Commerce Students, not for BA Students. The college has a good record in the placement cell. I am an Arts student so I don't have any placement. So I choose UPSC as my career option. I will try until I succeed.

Placement cells do not provide placements to English graduates. Only a few companies came to hire English graduates. I'm planning to do a master's or B.Ed to secure a career in teaching after my graduation.

6th-semester students are eligible to apply for campus placements. Companies like Bains and Co., KPMG, etc visit our college. Some are known and some unknown. I did not participate in campus placements as I decided to go for higher studies.

The college is good and faculty teacher is very helpful and the canteen is great. The playground is very big and clean. College has many societies. Admission process is merit based and first cum basis.

Admission:

No, because my admission merit based and my performance and sc quota so I can't face any group discussion, interview, or written tests. My result calculation is sufficient to get admission.

Remarks:

The college is excellent when it comes to academic excellence though it lacks a bit in infrastructure and placements.

Admission:

After giving my 12th class board exams I was looking at potential places to do my graduation from and Delhi University and Jamia millia islamia were on the top of my list due to their reputation and excellent national rankings. I ended up choosing jamia because it had the reputation for being very academics oriented and having a sincere student body. The fact that jamia has an entrance exam was also a draw for me as it ensured my peers were selected on the basis of stiff competition ensuring I got the best environment to pursue my academics.Jamia conducts its entrance exam around june-july with admissions taking place in august. The admission process is pretty straightforward and most of the process such as registration and payment of fees is online. The final registration is done in person in the university itself. Original documents such as 10th and 12th marksheets are required as well as character certificate and school leaving certificate. The list of required documents is available on the university website.
