  • The hostel food is really not appealing. The hygiene and everything is not properly maintained and also the food quality is extremely poor. The hostel fee is also very high. Mainly the food is super low quality.
  • At first you'll be told that there are many faculties but when you join the college you'll get to know that there are very less amount of faculty members present. And this will effect you class schedule. Also the classrooms are not that good either.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I was wanting to take a admission in a private college that provides BSC in psychology. I searched and found out about this one I got to know from my relatives and friends that this college is good so I took admission. But when I took admission I got to know that except the faculty members everything else is not that appealing. The classrooms are not that good. We were told that we'll have ac classrooms but we weren't. The frequency of exam timing is pretty high. You'll have to give you exam in a gap of one month. Minor test I (25 marks), Minor test II (25 marks), semester exam (50 marks). Semester examination occurs in every six months. You will get less time to prepare.

Internships Opportunities :

I haven't had any internship opportunity yet as I'm only a first year student right now. But I heard you'll be given intership opportunities in the last year of your college inside and out side west bengal.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tuition fee of this course is 32000 and I'll say it's low comparing to other private colleges in West Bengal. But The hostel fee is pretty high so my complete cost per semester (6 months) is 32000+42500 and that is pretty high. You'll get scholarships if you have above 80 % in your 12th board examination.

Campus Life :

As I said before you'll like your campus life except in monsoon. There are different clubs you can enroll in there are cultural clubs like drama club, dance club, music club, art club etc. there are sports club like badminton, football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, swimming etc. there are also clubs like photography club, art club, literary club, culinary club etc. intracollege and intercollege tournaments are also held pretty often in different sports.

Hostel Facilities :

The rooms are average. You'll have to share you room with one student. You'll be given a bed, two bedsheet and pillow cover, a mattress, a pillow, a mug, a almirah a table and a chair. The meal quality is very very poor the menu is also not good by hearing the menu you may think that it's good but after eating them everyday you'll get what I'm saying. The hostel fee uis oretty high and some people may not afford it. But if you are thinking about taking pg I'll also have to say the locality is not secured and good. Take pg only if you have proper knowledge of the locality you'll be staying. Otherwise I'll say staying in hostel is actually pretty safe because the security service here is actually very good. And you'll be secured 24/7

Admission :

You have to score over 50% in your 12th board exam. And you'll have to give an online exam through the online portal of this college to take admission. I know the reservation benifits are available but I'm general so I can't give proper details. You have to give an amount for seat booking and when you take admission properly you have to give the tuition fee + admission fee together. In gap of one month you'll have to be prepared for exams. The management of tnu is absolutely garbage they don't pay attention to the students and their parents at all, all they care about is money. So there is a pretty high chance that you'll be harrassed.

Faculty :

The number of students in our course is actually pretty low comparing to other courses but the number of permanent faculty are even lower than that. Though the faculties are super supportive and kind but still the number of faculties are low. But the faculties take a great care in mentorship, their approach to teaching is also very good. As a current student I'll say they teach very well and also if you have any problem regarding anything they take a great care to help you out. We can interact with teachers very easily and they are super approachable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

First of all, I love Statistics. Also, there is a great job opportunity after reading the statistics here. A BSc in Statistics(Hons) covers a wide range of topics. The scope of the program prepares graduates for careers in data analysis, research and various other fields that require strong quantitative and analytical skills. At present, there are 9 teachers and 25 students in our year. Innovative Teaching Methods: #Audio & Video Tools. #Stimulating Classroom Environment #Welcome New Ideas #Refer to Books On Creativity #Introduce Lessons Like a Story #Regular Assignments #Seminar by the students & professors There are two semesters in an academic year and there is a short mid-semester in between each semester here. To clear the exams you need to read class notes and books properly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The math department is too good. Teachers are qualified enough and experienced. They are friendly. Bonding between students and teachers is like watching. The course is quite difficult but for this, there are teachers who help us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course curriculum & faculty members are quite good, 1st of all I have preferred Bsc Biotech because of my extreme interest in genetic engineering & upcoming situations of Covid 19. Also, this subject has a possibility for a Blooming future in the upcoming days of the Pandemic/epidemic. The Faculty in This college is quite good & The laboratory benefits & materials are also Supportive & workable, This college provides one of the oldest Biotech labs in West Bengal. The student ratio is also balanced. Saying about Qualification of the faculty, The Professors have atleast 6-10 yrs of teaching exp and research performs in their career, they are all friendly & supportive and helps us to explore more in this subject The term exams are Moderate & have standard questions.

Placement Experience:

There are no campus placements. No companies visit the college and no as such highest and average package as per company and profiles offered are available. My plan after getting a degree is to go for further higher studies i.e. M.Sc. in biotechnology from out of West Bengal. Then after completing my M.Sc. I will further go for Ph.D.

Remarks:

The college was almost good in every way. But the college has no hostel facility for boys. This is very imbrasing. If hostel facility is available for boys, then the college becomes a better college in Burdwan city.

Kharagpur College is NAAC accredited B++ educational institution of Rail city Kharagpur. I love this college because I'm an ex student of this college. A very good, renowned college of Kharagpur. Many brilliant students passed away from this institution and many poets and writers were also appointed here as teachers, lecturers, part timer etc.
