DIPSAR College Review ( Read this to get an overview about the college )

Dislikes

  • Dipsar building lacks infrastructure and there are some other problems too that the students are facing such as ac not working in dipsar building and water is not available in the whole campus.

Course Curriculum Overview :

BPharm is a nice course , it's value is increasing day by day and when it comes to dipsar no one wants to leave the opportunity of pursuing BPharm degree from this college as it holds value in the field of pharmacy. The curriculum includes various applications of every topic that we study in the field of pharmacy do that we can know their real word applications. Teaching methods can be improved if they focus on more practical work and less theory work . The even semester are of less months so you can observe frequent exams there but in odd sem you can expect exams every 1-2 month. Two sessions and one end sem in every semester.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The course fees is 56 thousand for even sem and 34 thousand for odd sem so it comes our to be 3 lakhs and 60 thousand for the whole year which includes examination fees. Various scholarships are available in DIPSAR ranging from 3 thousand - 50 thousand per year and for SC/ST it's only 4 thousand per semester which is only examination fees that means their tuition fees is relieved. Campus employment is different for different degrees. For some degrees such as m pharm and MBA it's good.

Campus Life :

Campus is not very big but enough. Fest are not organised inside the campus but many other festivals are celebrated such as holi diwali . It has the biggest pharmacy library in india including more than 20000 books related to pharmacy. Recently students are facing problems such as ac not working in dipsar building and drinking water not available in the whole campus. Student union is there to help students . Rotaract club is there in the campus and other college societies such as literary society , art society, dance society etc. are there inside the campus and other ngos also.

Admission :

Admission process includes merit based cut off list which includes your 12th board marks including the percentage of only three subjects (pcb). You can apply on their website and then merit list will be uploaded on the website including the names of those students which are selected.

Faculty :

Facility members are very well qualified and they are supportive. Some faculty members are careless too but overall if you really want to study they will help you in any way. You can interact with them frequently as they are available in the campus.

From 8th semester students are eligible for campus placements There are many companies visited in college which hire the students on basis of their skills. Companies visited can be seen in prospectus of college. Most probably i will opt for higher studies to enter in the field of research.

From last year of course student become eligible for campus placements . Companies like TCS , sunpharma , eli lily, mankind , Chegg , Lupin , and some small companies come for placements. Average package is around 3 lakhs pa. Highest would be 8 lakhs for b pharm students. Highest would be 25 lakhs to m pharm students. My plan is to complete my post graduation in MBA and then work in corporate pharmaceutical industry.

Campus placements occur in the last sem of graduation. Companies with demand and vacancy come and have a different set of rules for the shortlisting and different rounds of counselling. Some companies look for students above 70% overall while some look for students above 60% overall. Companies like Eli Lilly, Iqvia, ZS come for placements and the salary offered is bw 4-5 lacs CTV.
