UPES, a fifty-fifty college

K

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is good. The labs are quite good but I would suggest the systems be a little more advanced and user friendly. I would also suggest that the main academic faculty should be available through any online medium.

Internships Opportunities :

Samsung, Tata, Hyundai, BMI and several big titles companies and industries come for campus placements. The faculty is also very helpful in this case as they provide guidance for the exams and interviews.

Placement Experience :

The placements are really good, every course has got many many good companies recruiting students. Hyundai, tata, Samsung and such big titles are there for the internships. Overall the placements are 90% good and suitable.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees is a little bit on the higher side but it is justified by the campus, placements and the facilities available. Scholarship availabilities are also on a huge advantage as I got it for UK domicile and you may also get it for getting good grades in class 12th

Campus Life :

I love the clubs. I'm a photographer and videographer and I get plenty of opportunities with the photography club I joined in the college. There are plenty of other clubs too that one might enjoy and would definitely enjoy the sports.

Admission :

It was really nice and easy as they told me to pass the UPESEAT exam and also told me about all the available scholarships and which one would be best suited for me. They also arranged golf carts to take us on the campus tour.

Faculty :

The faculty is quiet good. It includes teachers from IITs and NITs as well as other big institutes. Even after the shifts there's is faculty available to help you out with any doubts and problems you may face.

The placement shows quantity but not quality, in my batch 60-70% students were placed with a highest package of 5lakh per annum and minimum package of 2.4 lakh. As per fees of college the average package seems low.

Remarks:

I chose this college women institute of technology which is in Dehradun because it is the only government College which is for girls and it gives them technical knowledge. The college is funded by many government schemes which are very beneficial for us. We have different seminars winners from course in other things also to increase our soft skills as well as other skills. Hair in my 4 year experience I have learnt a lot a lot of things. We get free coaching for MTech i.e GATE classes and other employability training programs and that too free of cost.
