What Students Say
Likes
- Teachers in my department are well-accomplished. They provide support to students along with study material and notes. Even the lab assistants in my department are hardworking and down to earth.
- The campus of my college is very eco-friendly. There are a lot of greenery, plants and trees.
- There are 2 badminton courts, football ground, cricket ground, vollyball court, basketball court and table tennis room.
Dislikes
- Gym is not functional of the college. There are machines provided by the college but they dont work efficiently. Sports room is not the best place in college.
- Library is pretty large but during summar its too hot to sit in the library and study. There are limited functional computers in the library to work on.
- Wifi is not provided by the college. Since in many classes we are required to download the ppt in our phone by teachers during the class, wifi should be provided by college. Even in computer labs most of the time wifi doesnt work.
Course Curriculum Overview
I'm pursuing Biomedical science honours and Its course content is similar to MBBS course content, although it's not as deep as MBBS course. If a student wants to make their career in the scientific world, biomedical science is one the best options I have seen so far. If any student isn't interested in lab work then one should look for other options for a bachelor. Overall course content is precisely made and is very interesting.
Internships Opportunities
College do not provide internships and jobs. Although some teachers independently offer best students internship in institutions and in other colleges. Average students have to work independently in order to get an internship.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure varies for each year. There are few scholarships provided by the college but I haven't avail anyone of them so I'm unaware of the details. Delhi university does provide financial assistance to students belonging from lower income section of society. Campus employment opportunities are not good at all. Job after bachlors in biomedical science is not promising at all. One has to do masters and PhD to get good salaried job.
Campus Life
Every year "Srijan" annual fest is conducted by the ECA committee (comprising of students and teachers). Although this fest is not on a big level but still enjoyable. There are alot of books and journal provided by college. Although my course books are way less in numbers and published only for 15 days. It is better to use e-books. Sports and extracurricular activities are great and mostly are conducted by students (unofficially). Official events are also conducted once a year by physical education department. Bcas has a lot of clubs/societies and they all are pretty active.
Admission
During my academic year admission (2021) we did not had CUET-UG as entrance exam. It was based on percentage acquired in class 12th boards. Admission procedure was pretty easy and was not difficult at all. Application form is common for Delhi university colleges, one has to fill only one form and application fee was affordable as well.
Faculty
My department teachers are pretty great. All have PHD in their respective subjects and have accomplished their higher studies from well-established universities. Teachers provide support to the PG students in hard situations. They provide notes and PPTs as study material. Overall all the teachers I have studied from are pretty good. They answer students' doubts as well and help in career counselling if any student approaches them. Even our teachers are connected with Alumini which helps juniors get connected with the Alumini.
