- There is a great scope for building connections, which is really important when it comes to the field of law
- The committes and societies here are actually pretty good and are very active in what they do

- The college is yet to become autonomous (in the process currently), because of which the college has to follow a lot of unnecessary rules as well
- The number of cultural events here is close to nothing to be honest
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is decided on by the university we are under (Karnataka State Law University). The course is obviously based on the requirements of the Bar, but the good thing is that there isn't much pressure in each of the semesters. For the first 5 semesters, you only have 5 subjects and after that, it starts reducing. The curriculum of the subjects is also not that complicated. Teaching methods, however, broadly depend on the kind of teacher/lecturer you're getting for the subject. Some teachers stick to the book, while others focus more on the practical application. In terms of exams as well, it is actually pretty good. There is one Internal written test, one assignment to submit, and one presentation, apart from your external examinations for which you'll be graded. Other than that you might have class tests or assignments in the classes of some of the teachers.
Internships Opportunities :
The college has a placement and internship cell which provides us regular updates about available internship and placement opportunities and they are pretty helpful in all these matters. they conduct workshops from time to time in terms of what are the requirements related to minimum weeks of internships in these 5 years, compulsory internships, requirements related to it and even the format of CV gets shared to us in our first year itself
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fee will be same for all your 5 years. However, they increase the fee for every batch by 30,000 (the fee for 2022 batch was 1,70,000 for kannadigas, and 1,90,000 for non-kannadigas), which is pretty good for a private college in a metro city. This fee amount includes literally everything like library, new sets of uniforms every year, miscellaneous expenses, etc) everything including your hostel facility.
Campus Life :
The committees and societies are really interactive and active and are doing some pretty good work. However, cultural events are not that great. you'll have freshers, kannada rajyotsav, Pongal, onam, AURUS (our cultural event), Sports Day, farewell and that's all The library is decent to be honest, but more than that, we have access to the library of NLSIU which is pretty great. The college also provides access to SCC amond other few websites through the college mail ID Every class has a projector and for all the classes of all subjects, the teacher will be preparing a PPT for every unit and it will be shared with you as well. you can use laptops in most classes to make notes. The college also has a 'digitsl library' which is basically a separate lab with all monitors and stuff There are all kinds of Sports and cultural teams of college and they actively take part in competitions All the committees are mainly run by students with teachers as mentor for those committees
Hostel Facilities :
There are a LOT of hostels under the entire Ramaiah wing where students from all disciplines live, for both boys and girls. However, the hostel Venkatamma Gowramma Girls Home is the newest building and it is really good in terms of its space and cleanliness. But the food is shit and the wardens are very strict. Hostel fee is actually more than the college fee so it all depends on your personal affordability (for 2024 it is 2,20,000 + 20,000 deposit) and it increases by 30,000 every year
Admission :
The college has its own entrance test and an interview round, but if you've given the CLAT and scored about 80%ile then you can skip the test but the interview is compulsory for everyone. Also, there should be like 45% at least in your 12th (40% for SC/ST) The entrance exam as well as decent and not that tough to crack.
Faculty :
Most faculty members here have a good approach when it comes to teaching and mentorship, the classes are pretty interactive and you can approach the teachers freely. They are qualified and most of them have a really great amount of experience as well. As long as you're not the notorious one in the class, the teachers will be pretty chill with you. You don't disturb them they Target you. However, there are teachers as well who are not very student friendly. So it all depends on your luck in terms of the kind of teachers you're getting, given that the ratio is more in favour of good teachers.
Interview Experience :
I did not write the test because I had applied through my CLAT rank, but I've heard that it is pretty decent. The interview process is actually basic in terms of your general knowledge of law and your personal details
