Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am currently pursuing diploma in automobile engineering and the reason I chose this course because from my childhood I had this passion for cars but the reality was something different . I used to think that they would teach me how to make cars and all , but in diploma level they just teach you about the cars and also if you think that after pursuing diploma you'll get a huge amount of salary or some big position then you are just wrong , after diploma the only job you get is of supervisor level whose salary ranges from 15k to 25k ( as I got to know when I was doing an internship in Tata motors) and also the exams are quite easy you just need to know how things work and you can write it down in you own words

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for a general student is around?85000 but if you have a caste certificate or if you have an income below a particular amount then you can apply for scholarship where you'll get a huge waiver on you fees for example for people who fall under SC or OBC then you'll just have to 2000 and if you fall under general category and have a family's income below 5lacs then you'll just have to pay 50000 which includes everything like tution fee , course fee , exam fee , etc . And also if you are planning to opt for hostel then you have to pay extra for that which might fall under your scholarship

Campus Life

3

The overall experience was pretty good actually , the teachers are very helpful as they give their best to teach you and they know about their subject very well and the overall campus vibe is good . They don't have any clubs like one they have in VJTI or some other college and also the feast is boring and lame . The college is kind of strict and in someway they resemble school in terms of strictness like they have a morning assemble daily and for that you should reach the college before 8:30am else you'll be marked late and if you get 3 late mark in a month then you'll have to pay a fine of 50 and also the attendance is strictly monitored and if your attendance is not satisfactory although you have an attendance above 75% (which is the minimum requirement) they yet they might call your parents and it might even cost you your internal marks

Admission

The application process was quite simple and I guess the minimum requirement is above 70% and also there are caste reservation too and since it's a Christian college and if you are a Christian then you might get some special reservation too

Faculty

3.5

The teacher to student ratio is around 1:20 .The teachers know about their subject a lot and can even give answers to the question (about their subject) that are not in the syllabus You can approach a teacher anytime , except when they are taking lectures obviously and they try their best to help you through

Placement Experience:

Placements are not so good. In order to get a good package you must have a good cgpa around 7-8. If you have a good cgpa. You can get a good job offer with a annual pay for 5-6 lakhs. I plan to do btech/be after diploma. That,ll help me get a good placement. I can do btech here only if i manage to get enough percentage in my final year. If i couldn't i plan to get admission in keystone school of engineering which is a good college for engineering degree. Mostly infotech and proazure hire the most. There are other companies too. Around 60 percent students get placed.

Placement Experience:

Placement strategies is different for every department. Like most computer engineering students wants higher education. Mechanical, civil and automobile students not that much interested in higher education. Teachers of placement department are very active in there work they gave us more information and counseling like who have to get higher education and who gave to be placed. Students fills a google form which os about students placements, according to that they know how many students are interested in placement and higher education. Companies like TATA, VPRO and other are came for campus in our college various tests and interviews are taken then salary and other things are discussed. Many students get pass in interview. The ratio is about to 30% students get placed every years from campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is the heart of a student’s college or advanced learning experience. Curriculum is a college or university’s primary means of guiding students directions. Curricula should be reviewed and revised on a regular basis, better to serve the changing needs of both students and society. We are often urged to reassess the quality of our curricula. Faculties are responding to this challenge by turning their attention to long neglected issues. They are doing so as a practical means of both attracting and retaining more students, ensuring their success, and producing high quality, fair outcomes for everyone.
