  • There were some physics courses which don't lie in my interests.
  • The people outside campus (they behave very badly if you don't know kannada)

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course here is heavy. You have to learn mathematics thrice as the other bachelor courses in India, statistics is twice as the other bachelor's degree and the physics courses here are equivalent to the courses in a normal bachelor's degree and CS courses are quite similar to what is studied in IIT in first two years. And one has to do all these courses within 3 years here. So the curriculum is heavier than any other university in India. But the positive part is we get to learn so much. We are efficient enough for mathematics, statistics, and CS jobs and of course research jobs. If one can handle the pressure it's amazing.

Internships Opportunities :

Every year professor here took students for research projects/ summer projects (this is only about the math department). There are many departments, if you look at the LIS/QMS department they get very good internships. They earn up to 1 lakh/month via those internships.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is no fees required at ISI. Here if you get above 60% every semester you will get a stipend of 5000/- per month and an additional contingency grant of 5000/- per semester. Only the hostel will cost you 200/- per month.

Campus Life :

We have a small community of students who live full of life. Seniors are helpful. The library is amazing the wifi here is not that good. The sports are good. Every year we have an annual student fest, a freshers, a farewell and every major sports tournament.

Hostel Facilities :

Good, that's all I can say. Not very nice and luxurious but quite comfortable. The double rooms are big and single rooms are small. Double rooms are like heaven. There is no refrigerator, which is problematic in the hostel.

Admission :

The time I entered the admission process was difficult. Nowadays it's a lot easier. You just need to write one exam to enter here. In my time there were interviews and the questions used to be a lot more difficult than now.

Faculty :

All the faculty here are very professional and friendly at the same time. They are expert in the field of their research. It is the premium quality of this institute. You can approach them whenever you like, they will do their best to help you. The student to prof. the ratio is very nice unlike other collages as there are very few students who get selected every year. Most of the faculty are active in research and they have earned their Phd from the named foreign university from famous mathematicians, so their recommendations are very powerful.

Other Applied Colleges

IIT Kharagpur - Indian Institute of Technology - [IITKGP] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electrical Engineering)

I gave JEE advanced when I was already in ISI (as the course at ISI started earlier). I got JEE advanced rank 3982, for that I got the branch (mentioned above) but my main interest was in mathematics that's why I didn't opted for IIT KGP. Also I know ther

Placement Experience:

THe college placements are good . You are eligible for placements from 5th sem onwards. Accenture ,infosys, amazon, and many more . the highest offer i have seen was 40 LPA . Around 40% of students get placed. My plans after getting the degree is going for a job for some time and get into masters later.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the cirriculum is a well designed one as the course has a great demand in market these days but the college wasted first year and didnt prepare us for real world applications , it was the same outdated syllabus and no practical experience the curriculum should have latest practical knowlege , i mean teaching computer science on books and board sounds ridiculous the internal exams are a total scam , writing 2 exams in a single day and finishing 7 exams in 4 days that does not go well for anyone and the internal exams need a rework

I chose physics and computer science. It is verry good course for real world. You can use physics in cs.there is lots of time to complete the syllabus before the exam days . You will get enough study holidays to prepare for the exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course - BSC in Anaesthesia technology and operation theatre technology which I'm pursuing has a good career option, best way to help people if you can't clear NEET, you'll get specialization in both anaesthesia and operation theatre which is good for you future placements. The curriculum is very knowledgeable as it is too hard and lenghty for average students. The exams are undoubtedly hard but is 100% from your syllabus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course's syllabus is very well structured. Each semester you learn a new topic and have practicals every week based on what you learnt in theory. Biotechnology is a very vast field so by the end of the course you have learnt a bit about the main areas of the subject which helps you choose the field for your higher studies. Exams are conducted twice per semester, mid sem and end sem. In between, there are internals or activities basically which will taken into account for your finals marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I particularly chose this course for Macro and Micro Economics which interest me so much. The course is designed in a specific way so as to increase the students' skill and understanding in core subjects revolving economics and make them future ready for critical thinking and problem solving in the field of economics. The exams are conducted four times a semester (3 interim tests and 1 Final exam). The interim tests are conducted once every month and final exams are conducted in the ending 4th month

Placement Experience:

There is a mandatory internship for students during the summer break after their 1st year of MSc. BASE Placement Cell (BPC) is responsible to look after the placement and internship opportunities for the students. However, the students need to opt-in for their service or they can handle it on their own. The first batch will graduate in the year 2022 and hence there is no placement record for the same.
