- Hostel food is not at all good. This could have been improved.
- Poor Connectivity to the main city, since the university is located 15 km away from nearest metro station.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Galgotias Univeristy provides an industry oriented couse curiculum , all the course outcomes are discussed with the students at the beginning of the program. Moreover, the courses are designed in such a way that focuses on the overall development of the student. There are several types of courses such as theory, practical and blended courses all of them are defined with a certain number of credits.
Internships Opportunities :
There are several internship oppurtunites available for pre final year students. for eg. in btech cse program, several companies such as instabase, jp morgan, josh technology group etc. offers internship with a descent stipend.
Placement Experience :
Galgotias Uniersity provides good placement rate with an average package of 5.25 lpa. However placement rate and package may differ in different programs. The highest package of BTech CSE last year was 1.5 Crore which was international. Galgotias offers several programs in around 17 different schools each of which comes under CPDD ( Carrer Planning and Development Department).
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fee Structure involves major three components - tuition fees , exam fees and caution money. For instance the complete fees of BTech CS is 164,000 for the upcoming session. University also provides scholarship to the top performers of CUET, JEE Mains. for Post Graduation Candidates , scholarships are also provided based on their performance in their respective under graduation program.
Campus Life :
Campus life is quite happening here at Galgotias University. There are many events which happens regularly including Galgotias Unifest which is one of the largest events of its own kind. There are many Students clubs which are very helpful for the overall development in various areas.
Hostel Facilities :
Campus Hostel provides some basic facilites such as bed, study table, chair , almirah, etc. There are three types of rooms available- single seater , double seater, and triple seater as well. There are also options for ac and non ac. Mess food is not up to the mark, sometimes it is very unhealthy and tasteless.
Admission :
Admissions in Galgotias University are done based on the 12th Grades, jee mains , or cuet. University releases the admission form on its official website every year around May- June. There is no specific exam of Galgotias Entrance Test. The number of seats are subjected to the program. The process of admission is quite simple. Candidate can directly fill the registration form or contact the office of the admissions, Galgotias University.
Faculty :
All the faculties are well qualified , many of them completed their masters and doctorate from IITs and NITs, There are many faculties with NET qualified. As far as the faculty to student ratio is concerned it is not up to the mark, on an average a faculty handles three to four sections having a strength of 70 students each. Teaching approach is very well defined here, all the faculties need to adhere to the coursepack structured by the concerned department.
