Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose chemesitry (hons) because i have always been interested in this subject. It is a very practical subject. The syllabus is very practical which helps you prepare for higher level exams such as IIT JAM, GATE,CUET PG etc. This course also equips you with skills required for landing jobs in research and laboratories. Right now there is more focus on theoretical part of the course rather than practical part. College should organise more industrial visits and organise more seminars conducted by prominent people in this field to help the students in navigating their careers after school. semesters exams are hels every six months,(may -june)(nov-dec). Along with this internals are held before exams which consists of assignments , class tests and viva. the difficulty level of the exams is moderate to hard and one can refer to previous years papers.

Internships Opportunities :

I got into metvy through college placement cell, where i recived a stiped of 5k per month for a duration 4 months, work from home for the profile for hr executive. Along with that i had offers from other company too, but only this was work from home and required less time as my schedule was very tight because of college attendance and study this particular internship offered me flexibilty.

Placement Experience :

students usually become eligible for placements after 4th semester. One has to maintain atleast 6 cgpa with no backlogs. various companies such as delloite, goldman sachs, jp morgan, asian paints, mamaearth, bajaj capital, indigo, tata power visit the campus. last year , around 120 offers were made from 110 companies and average package standing at 7.4 lpa and the highest package was 23.5 lpa. Most of the students seating for placements gets placed, but for batch of 2024 didnt go well, due to market condition.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The course fee is 18000 per year for chemistery(hons). All the courses offered by the college are in the range of 11,000-20,000. There are various scholarships available for the students and one has to comply with stipulated requiremets to avail the benefits of the scholarships.also there is fee concessions given to the deserving candidates and to get the benefit of the concession one has to submit income certificate and sit for an interview with college committee.

Campus Life :

Student union organises various events like freshers, annual cultural fest mosaic in which top artist like emiway bantai, vilen have performed past years along with that various events like repulic and independence day is also celebrated in college. One can easily borrow books through library card and the library is spacious with all facilities available like ac, updated books, water cooler etc. There are many college societies like enactus ramjas, rasayaniki society, commerc society etc which organises many events and sessions helpful for students.

Admission :

Since 2022, the admissions are done though entrance test CUET(central universities entrance test) conducted by NTA (NATIONAL TESTING AGENCY). Information regarding application form, application fees, and application dates are available on the official website of NTA or CUET SAMARTH OR DU. Various seats are reserved for students belonging to various communities and economic background. I got admission through ST quota,I had to submit the certificate as required by the college. If the admission process could be made quicker it would be better.

Faculty :

Faculty to student ratio is very less due to which classes are over crowded by combining both sections for one lecture. The Senior faculty instead of taking lectures are busy with college function, duty given to them by college management. But, whenever classes take place they teach very good and are always ready to help and clear doubts. All the faculty are highly qualified (phd holders) and have experience of atleast 10 yrears. All the faculty members are easily accessible. They are very helpful. They also help in extracurricular activities such as formig societies and guiding them at every point.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is actually great as it helps us to prepare for the competitive exams like the cell biology, genomics and various other topics. Also, the teachers are very friendly and they teach through E-boards which is very helpful as it is easy to use. The type of exams is the semester type in every 4 months exams are conducted and the difficulty level is medium to hard.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible in the last year for placement and there is dedicated placement cell called 'pinnacle' but it offers good placement in commerce courses but very less number in science courses and definitely neglible in chemistry as students generally tend to opt for a master's degree for better opportunities in industries as well as exams such as GATE. The package ranges from 3 to 4 lakhs. There are no specifics for the company names as the data is not continuous. My plan is also to opto for a master's degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Relevance and comprehensiveness by my course I want to become a scientist. And I have more opportunities in government examinations I chose this program because of my favorite subject. There are practical exams in this program also. They are using very effective methods by teaching faculty that was helped in understanding the material for the student. The examination conducted was average and more size, than the examination paper conducted on the given syllabus there I experienced it very well so I think this is a very beautiful journey for me.

Placement Experience:

The placements were not as great but the placement cell was working hard enough to get good placements for everyone. Placements average at about 4LPA. The vetting and everything was seamless and placement cell members were really helpful.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is very efficient as it widens opportunities for students and exposes them to various companies. The majority of students were pursued masters in various fields. Some of them were successfully selected in job categories like banking etc. The science students usually don't get placement benefits in the college. So the students have to be dependent on other sources for internships and placements. Many companies like Genpact and other visited Inside the college. Same was the case for previous batches too.

Placement Experience:

The college has an active Placement Cell. It organizes workshops, seminars and provides placement and internships in a wide range of profiles. Major placement opportunities are available to BCom students. Final semester students become eligible for campus placements. As per the stats of 2019-20, the highest package offered was 9 LPA and average package was 4.3 LPA. Major job profiles were finance, audit, sales, marketing, consultancy, HR operations etc. and 96+ companies were associated including KPMG, EY, PWC, Deloitte, Decathlon, UrbanClap, Genpact, Chegg, Wipro, FIS, Teach for India, Josh Talks, Inshorts, Careers 360 and many more. However the percentage of students getting placed is not much greater, because majority of students don't sit in campus placements and go for masters. Generally, BCom graduates are offered with better profiles in big companies (KPMG, EY, Deloitte etc) I am planning to go for MCA after my graduation .

Placement Experience:

3rd-year students are eligible for placements. The highest package of 2020 was of Mc Kinsey with 8lpa and average package of SGTB Khalsa 3 to 4 LPA. The students are mostly places from commerce courses as the big fours come for them. The percentage of students getting placed is 60% and I feel, I might opt for a job after a degree which is suitable as everything is work from home for now.

I guess from 5 th semester students are eligible for campus placement and for this, there is a placement cell also being run in the college. Some of the companies that come to our college are Deloitte, ICICI Bank, Josh talks, jio , yamaha , de Shaw, and co. The highest package offered is - 19 LPA The average package offered is - 8 LPA It depends on the course you opt for, but the highest placement is for commerce and economics. ( 70%) I am planning to do MSc after my grad. And then I will pursue research.
