- The first thing that I like about this college are the seniors. They treat you like friend and I have never experienced ragging in this college. The campus life is great and events occure frequently so you don't get bored of attending college.
- Teacher here are helpful in most of the cases and if they cannot help directly they make sure that you get answers to your questions from someone that they think might be helpful
Dislikes
- I don't like the management of the college
- The infrastructure of some part of college is not so great but you cannot complain as the campus is more than100 years old
Course Curriculum Overview :
So I wanted to get into management so I selected this course. In this course I have to learn about finance,management etc. and we also have a 6 months internship in 7th semester to get a good experience of industry. Exams here are properly scheduled and the difficulty level depends upon the preparation of oneself.
Internships Opportunities :
The internships are provided by the TPO and every couple of months we receive a mail about the internships available for students and also the stipend that the company offers. Currently I am enroled in an internship in which I am designing parts for a robotic company.
Placement Experience :
Campus placement of this college is great and placement starts on e the student enters in 4th year.For campus placement a student should have a cgpa above 7.5 . Companies like Google,Amazon,morgan stanley,deloitte etc. visit the campus every year and the highest package that I know of is 64lpa and the average package of computer science is 18lpa. My plan after degree is percuing MBA and then getting into consultancy.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
This college comes under State Government so the fees here for general candidates is relatively low 85,551 to be exact. The fees for category students changes depending upon the category. Scholarships are available for category students and it is well informed by the scholarship department about every scholarship that is available. Financial aid is provided by alumni for which an exam is conducted and interviews are taken by the alumni and faculty members.
Campus Life :
Tech fest, Pratibimb, Enthusia etc are some major events of the college and they are tipically conducted in the month of January. In the campus we have a library and my department has a seperate library that has books related to our stream and the central library has books related to all courses.Every classroom in the college is equipped with a smartboard and some classrooms have projectors. My college conducts running and cycling event every year under enthusia event and more than 1000 people participate in it every year. In this college we have different clubs like racing,robotics,aero (which makes planes and moon rovers) and clubs related to coding.
Hostel Facilities :
I live in a hostel which comes inside the campus itself. 3 people share a room and the room is very spacious. We are provided with a bed, chair and study table. We are provided with 3 meals a day and the quality of food is great. The hostel seats are given on merit basis for which a form is to be filled and the list appears with a condition that the candidate should not be a resident of Mumbai.
Admission :
Admission in this college is done on the basis of MHTCET examination. Ths exam is conducted once per year and the forms are available on MHTCET website. The difficulty level of exam is moderate it is easy tha JEE Mains and no negative marking is there in paper so scoring good marks is easy.The exam is of 200 marks in which 100 marks is given to maths with 1.5 hrs of thime and 50-50 marks are given to physics and chemistry with 1.5 hrs of time.The admission process was smooth ,just some documents that have to be submitted and some paper work. Before admission the fees was supposed to be paid that I didn't knew so it was little inconvenient but rest of the process is easy .
Faculty :
So the faculties are very friendly and they are always ready to help you in every way possible. Contacting the faculty is very easy as they are available in campus till 5pm and after that you can text them any time without getting into trouble. Faculties here mostly are PhD holders and they have very deep knowledge about their subject and some faculties can teach multiple cources because of their experience.
