Green campus, clean, hostels alloted, Faculties qualified almost everyone having phd degree. Teaching method good.Also cleanliness of campus . Infrastructure is quite good.Lab facilities instruments all departments.Culture of North east + othrombined
Placement cell is there.Everyone given double rooms.Those who are not allotted hostel are alloted temporary hostels.University take care of them too . Teachers encouraging and regular evaluation of 4 tests a semester.Every evaluation done fair

Placement not very good.Just average.Recession might be the reason
Schedule is hectic especially in 1st and 2nd semester.Like 9.10 to 5.30 in between one small 20 min tea break and 1 hr lunch

Course Curriculum Overview :

So in our department of Computer science approximately 7-8 subjects per semester which decreases by end(as we have projects) Our curriculum contains subjects which are well equipped for real world applications. Subjects like Data structure, Algorithm, Computer network,Dbms,Os are in curriculum which holds signifnce in CS domain in real world Improvements can be done in terms of practical learning for sure which is somewhat low.Contests and hackathon should be organised by college. Frequency of University exams are like 4 exams in a semester. 2 sessional exams 25 marks each, 1 mid term exam 40 marks and end term 60 marks. So after every month one exam. yes end sems are little bit difficult but manageable. Sessional are quite easy mid term is average in difficulty level wise.

Internships Opportunities :

Intership we have to find by ourselves and Littlet provided by college.Projects under University are also a part of intership.Students join that too. Mostly students go out and find intership by themselves

Placement Experience :

After 6th sem students become eligible for campus placements Details can be found on website still companies like itc,l&t,amul, patanjali etc offer placement here in Tezpur University Higest is not revealed but average 4lakh expected 40-60% students get placed Students opt for higher studies i may too opt for higher studies not decided yet

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

26943 is semester fees per semester Including mess bills hostel and academics it would cost around 3 lakh 15 thousand approximately. Scholarship are provided for Needy students like free studentship under bpl , scholarship by nsp etc . Must fulfill the necessary requirements Project jobs are there in campus anyone can look into website for details

Campus Life :

Yes Techxetra the engineering fest is hold which got discountined in 2017 but in 2024 it has been revived Science fest insignis is there Commerce fest vanigyam And Small other fests are organised. Books and journals available as per requirement In classroom projectors, Required fans desks bench everything there,labs are good. Necessary lab equipments present In sports you can get everything like football cricket volleyball basketball hockey tennis badminton and every sport possible. Yes clubs like gdsc ieee clubs e cell nss cell are there for personal development which are good

Hostel Facilities :

2 person accomodation in a room 2 beds 1 fan 2 almirah study chair table for each 24*7 electricity 3500 per semester hostel fees and mess bills vary hostel to hostel consider approx 2400 per month Mess is average north eastern style food provided Registration for hostel done along with semester nothing extra Rented pg or rooms can be found outside but a bit costly and hard to find.mostly people take hostel which is good

Admission :

Should qualify JEE Mains Application form in Tezpur University Website Yes government reservation benifits provided as per govt acts 4 exams in a semester i.e 2 sessional 1 mid sem 1 end sem total 25+25+40+60=150 Difficulty is moderate Admission process can be improved by online process .We visit University for north east guys counseling and remaining 40% students from Jossaa and csab

Faculty :

Qualification of teachers: Almost everyone phd.Many have done PhD from IITs,NITs and many foreign universities.Hold good academic excellence.Faculty to student ratio varies but still on average we can say its 25:1 i.e for 25 students 1 teacher.Evaluation by teacher done in exams are fair and can be trusted upon. Are approachable and interaction is quite good they help when you ask for something . Mentors are assigned for each student who help them with academic problems.My learning experience has been great with the teachers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have choose EE because it's have both core and it features so i believe that I will go for core but if the situation changes then accordingly i will shift. The curriculum is pretty good in this campus according to me that's why I have choose this course. I don't think I have enough thinking level to suggest about that. Before exam there should be some gap for studies purpose I mean to say classes should be off. And everything is good.

A Honest Review on NIT Silchar.

Placement Experience:

The placement in NIT Silchar is decent. You will be eligible for placement from the 4th year but you will be associated with the T&P cell from the 3rd year. The companies which came for placements in 2022 are Samsung R&D Institute, Bangalore, Larsen and Toubro, Bharat Electronics Limited, Amazon Web Services, Vedanta Resources Limited, Make My Trip, etc. The highest package is 44 LPA in 2022 offered by Amazon Web Services and the average package is 15-16 LPA. Almost 95% of students get placed in CSE & and 90% in ECE, followed by EIE whereas in other branches the percentage is low. After getting the degree, I will be seating for placements and getting a Job Of course.

Life At IIT Guwahati

Placement Experience:

Placement drives are held in December of every year for the students who complete their 7th semester. Placements are quite good over here, The highest package this year is 2.4 crore and the average package fluctuates between 20 to 25 LPA every year. One can also go for higher studies, there is no harm.

Don't worry about placements, they are quite good. Our campus highest package this year is 2.5 cr/annum There are many other stats on our official website, you can refer to that. Mostly many people get interns in their 5th or 6th sem and get placed at the end of the 7th sem. I will talk more about this after going the second year atleast
