Course Curriculum Overview

3

Curriculum prepares us for the real world but yet some changes needed to be done. In professional life we need more practical knowledge than thearetical knowledge. So practical time should be increased and utilized well.

Internships Opportunities

4

Our college provide us with internship and clinical postings in our hospital indo America hospital. No stipend is provided from the hospital even during the internship period. The clinical postings are also given to nearby hospitals and transportation facilities are provided.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee for both SPCMA management students and LBS students are around Rs80000 and NRI students have Rs 120000, i.e. 40000 additional to the tution fee. The hostel itself is Rs22000 and scholarships with Rs 30000 are also there.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life was fun and entertaining. The cultural activities and sports activities are done annually. Other programs like College Day and Freshers Day are also celebrated. Club activities are very less. The library is good.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college provides hostel accommodation and mess food. In hostel a room consist of 7 or 8 members and attached toilet is not available. The menu vary every day. Lunch is good but dinner is just average.

Admission

I didn't have to take any entrance exams. My admission to BCF COP was based on 12th mark. I first applied to SPCMA and I there I can select the college which I prefer. I got admission to BCF COP in my 3rd allotment. I submitted all my certificates and joined the college

Faculty

3.5

The faculties are good. But the well experienced faculties have been transferred to other colleges. But still there are some new staffs with good experience and knowledge. Some new staffs have less experience but they try their best to make it.

There are only postings in 3rd and 4th year for 2 month only . Physiotherapy is a course where more hospital familiarity is needed and the students should get experience only through clinical practice .

Course Curriculum Overview:

My dad works in rehabilitation industry so I had an idea about this and I loved biology during school time . This is a course which focuses on movement rather than medicine . Along with movement, compassion and empathy is also a necessary factor in this course. This curriculum at this college can't actually prepare you to real life applications since this hospital is an eye hospital and exposure is less for this specific course. For me personally a lot of improvements should be made in the course curriculum such as real life treatment of patients provides more exposure to the students that will help with their practical knowledge. Students should be provided equal opportunities in sports events that they're invited to be a junior physio. Frequency and timing of exams are quite okay and less pressurising with adequate intervals.

This course has a wide range of oppurtunities throughout the world. Our college has the best faculty and and our theory knowledge is excellent. But we need to make improvements in our practical knowledge as our direct interaction with the patients are less. The test exams are conducted reguraly.
