Gratitude towards my alma mater

Dislikes

  • Poor infrastructure and lack of some facilities.
  • Fee structure and placement issues were there.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I had choosen to do masters in English literature to fulfill my love and passion towards the subject. The course was as par to the comprehensive study of literature. The course includes British literature, Indian literature, American literature, diasporic writings, translated writings etc. It will acquaint you with major perspectives towards English literature. One thing I would suggest to include more writings and pieces of work from Indian writing in English and regional languages. Course on language and communication skills should also be included. The examination is based on semester pattern , mid-sem and end-sem exam.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee was around 27000 for two years. Students can avail scholarships from government. The university does not provide any institutional financial aid. I got scholarship from the Department of Higher Education for P.G. Rank Holders Scholarship.

Campus Life :

The campus life was interesting. It was full of vigour and warmth. It was an adventurous journey. The co- curricular activities are promoted by the university. I took part in volunteering activities, dance and theatre. I was the member of the editorial board of the book club run by the students of the Department of English. This book club shaped my thoughts and enhanced my reading and critical thinking skills. The library consists of variety of books and journals for students and faculties. Sports are also promoted in the university campus. Though we didn't get as much opportunities and academic conferences and festivals, it was overall good and enriching.

Admission :

For admission in the course of Masters in English, you have to be graduated. The admission is done through CUET exam. One can check the notification and process from the website. The admission process was so smooth. I had taken admission around October 2021. We had gone through a personal interview and afterwards, the merit list has been prepared on the basis of PI.

Interview Experience :

I had to go through a personal interview. The interview was good. It went well. The interviewers were cooperative. They asked questions regarding history of English literature and major works. The questions were from B.A. syllabus. I had prepared for the interview by revising all the concepts I have read in my graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose master's of arts because i want to be a professor in future and a professor serves to the nation by giving the students education and make them good person, teachers just need to stop being partial and some off them just read books in front of students that's not good, University takes exams on time but students can cheat easily in exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you're doing master's in geography from patna women's college then you're easily getting prepared for exams like UGC NET JRF as the course is highly versatile and covers all the important aspects. I personally chose this because I knew this college is quite particular about its sessions and academic results.

Remarks:

A very nice college. I will say it is the best college. Fees structure is also good. It is very affordable for me. Also, there is a concession for backward college students, which is very much necessary for the students.

Admission:

Once the University announced the admission notification on the website, I had to download the application form from the website and then I filled it with all details and submitted to the University with 500 rupees application fees. Also, I had attested all required documents. After submission, I received a mail regarding my selection based on my merit. Then I joined the interview via Skype and got selected.

Fee Structure And Facilities:

The fees structure is very much affordable. The tuition fees is 28000 per semester. And it would cost around 1.4 lacs for 2 years which is very nominal and affordable for a master degree in India. It is worth the money paid by us
