JYOTHIKA 'S MACE

Dislikes

  • The management is very strict. The hostel timing for girls and boys are different which hinders the idea of gender equality.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose Electronics and Communication engineering since I was very keen in knowing the aspects of technology. Our college provides quality education in this field. It is one of th best govt aided colleges in Kerala. We have different technical clubs for developing the skills of students. There are two series exam and one semester exam conducted per semester.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tution fee for state merit quota is somewhere near 10000 per semester. I'm availing the benefits of OEC scholarship. Therefore the tution is free of cost for me. The college authority aids us well in availing all the scholarships. Students below certain annual income also get a PTA scholarship of 12000/- .

Campus Life :

Our college conducts two fests every year. The technical fest called Takshak and Arts fest called Sanskriti. Apart from this many other programs, both technical and non technical, are conducted every year. There are many technical clubs including IEEE, ASME, SAE, GDSC. And many non technical clubs like Music club, dance club, fashion club etc.

Admission :

The admission to the college is through KEAM exam. All students are expected to meet the eligibility criteria. 75% of the total seats are merit seat and the rest 25% is management quota. The difficulty level of the exam is easy to moderate. My rank was 3K and I got the fee waiver merit seat with the tution waiver seat.

Placement Experience:

The placements are more than decent as you get many opportunities to land a job before graduation. Provided you don't have backpapers which most companies wouldn't want in their candidates. Service-based companies such as TCS and Accenture take loads of students per year and pretty high-end companies visit too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum mainly focuses on the technical side of the subject being an engineering course. Mathematical models play a significant role in developing and extrapolating the syllabus to application level. Life sciences are also there as core subjects and electives in higher semesters. It heavily encompasses the general relevant technical aspects of modern biotechnology too.
