Review about JIPMER, College of Nursing

The course curriculum is good The curriculum helps in enhancing the students theoretical and practical aspects. Frequent clinical exposure will help the students to prepare themselves for the real-world applications and reaching their academic pursuits

The college provides with internship Now the course duration is 3 and half years and 6 months of compulsory intership Students will also get stipend during internship period This will develop their working and practical skills

The fee structure includes, tuition fees for the first year is 11,000, 2nd year 6000. As compared to private colleges, this college provides low fees as it is government college. Students can also apply for scholarships. No stipends are been received in the student period. But will be received once the student goes for internship.

The overall experience of the college is wonderful.JIPMER offers variety of opportunities for the students to prove their talents. Various cultural activities, sports are conducted every year in the college JIPMER is famous for SPANDAN, South India's largest medical college fest. It is 7 day programme, which involves various cultural programmes, competitions, pro shows, bands etc There are adequate facilities and technological provisions within the classrooms

Hostel provided for nursing students(girls) is Nightingale hostel. Rooms are very spacious with tables, chairs, cots(bed) and cupboards In each room 3 students are allocated. Single rooms are also available but payment will increase

-The admission to JIPMER, College of Nursing is based on NEET( National Entrance Examination Test) score. Once NEET exam results are published, the candidates who are willing to join BSC Nursing or other health allied courses can check in jipmer.edu.in website for applying. -The eligibility for applying is qualification in NEET exam - There is reservation for SC,ST,OBC, pondicherry resident candidates -Application fees,form,date will be available in the above mentioned site - After applying, on a particular day the college will release a rank list based on their neet score in the website jipmer.edu.in. -All those who are in the rank list can participate in the counselling process. - The admission will be in offline mode. Candidates who are in the rank list and willing to join must reach the college with all the corresponding requirements, certificates as mentioned in the site.
