Dislikes

  • The teaching atitude of some professors is very odd.
  • The gym of hansraj and sports facilities access is only available to students who came in through sports quota.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum is pretty easy as the exam is conducted on the basis of the subjects you had in your class 12th and the syllabus for the subject is also around what you studied in 11th and 12th except English and general test. According to me, I don't feel any change is required in the curriculum part.

Internships Opportunities :

There is a independent club for the students of hansraj which is responsible for providing internships to students. they bring in different companies of various types with different positions and roles to offer students who are interested in interning

Placement Experience :

Hansraj offers placements but only to specific courses and the job offers are average to the students. Last year's highest offer was 35 lpa with an average of 12 lpa and this year's highest of 25 lpa and 8 lpa average. Most of the job offers are made to the bcom hons and economics hons students. In addition it is easy to find off campus placement as the hansraj name is well known among the best companies of the field, also the alumni network is very strong so it becomes more easy to find a job

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Delhi University's overall fees structure is overall very low. Annual fee for BA courses are around 25000. In addition to this, examination fees is paid every semester and some miscellaneous expenses could occur too. Rest the living expense make the most of the rest. You can expect to spend around 9 lakh for a 3 year undergraduate course here in DU. it may go up and down depending upon your own expenses and living cost.

Campus Life :

Hansraj college is a house to 63 clubs of all culture sports, feilds. You can find a club to your interest in HRC. Society culture is very well developed in hansraj. Each club organises it's events in different part of the year and in addition to ig hansraj organises it's own annual fest by the name confluence where every society of the college come together and host a big one event featuring diffrent artists, competitions and concerts in the college.

Admission :

I completed my class 12 with commerce with maths then I filled the CUET form from NTA website, fees of the form was 1400. Then after the exam conducted by NTA in around May and june, delhi university opened registration through CSAS portal to get admission before the NTA released the scorecardbof CUETUG. After the results I got my name in the cut off list of hansraj College through the preference sheet I filled. I used OBC-NCL reservation to get myself some benifits.

Other Applied Colleges

Hansraj College - [HRC] | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.}

My marks were not enough to get me into b.com hons

Placement Experience:

The Placement Cell of the college is very active. Students can avail themselves of the placement opportunities from the fifth semester. I have been selected as a content writer in the fifth semester. I was offered a 4.6 LPA in the esteemed company. More than 40 percent of students end up doing getting jobs. I have decided to earn some experience as a content writer and then apply for the MA journalism program.

Placement Experience:

For the courses like Architecture, Engineering, Law, Mass Communication, many big companies come for placements in Jamia. As my course is a Bachelors's subject under Arts, there aren't many placement opportunities. But I hope to pursue my Master in History after which I would try to get placed.

Placement Experience:

The placements for BA Program in particular are slightly lower as compared to other courses. Most students from the course opt for higher studies but the few who choose to sit for placements find it hard to land a job. Campus placements start in 5th semester and continue for the entire final year. A student is free to sit for as many companies as they like, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria like CGPA, course, etc. Most companies hire a maximum of 4 students owing to the small population of students at St. Stephen's. The highest package in 2021 was 18LPA and the average package is about 6 LPA-8 LPA.

Placement Experience:

Around 70% of the students get good campus placements, especially in the private sector. The average package for the students is 6,000,00 per annum. The highest package offered to the student varies between 25 lakhs to 35 lakhs. My plans are different as I want to pursue my higher education.

Placement Experience:

The placement of the college is good. It has tie ups with reputed news channels. But in our course, the college does not provide internships, students have do it themselves and they have to prepare their own youtube channel for work.

Remarks:

The management is an equally hardworking and efficient team like the faculties. They maintain a good relationship with the students as well as with the teachers and are approachable for both the parties. Their functioning has ensured that the college runs smoothly in terms of presenting itself to others.

The college timings and the unprofessional conduct of many teachers and the office staff has made college an exhausting experience. There are no proper channels for conveying our complaints and suggestions.
