Course Curriculum Overview :

Actually I was interested in computer science and all from my matriculation level that's why I chose this particular course. JU is a well known college so I had nothing to say about the reputation. I am actually satisfied in overall educational system in the college.

Class Size : 70Course Fees : INR 25000 per year

Placement Experience :

We have on campus placement in our college which itself is great and the packages offered to us is actually great. Especially in computer department the placement rate is also high and the amount of salary offered is also great.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Actually I am in my 1st year ending thus I donot know much about these but as per as I know the on campus placement is very good in my college and there is no extra charges as it is a government college.

Campus Life :

Especially here I want to say that our campus is actually full of cultural activities and programs. We regularly organise cultural programs with renowned artists and we enjoy these a lot. I am extremely satisfied here.

Admission :

One can join the course just by giving WBJEE exam and getting a good rank. Actually the councelling process is very swift and I faced no problem during the process. The WBJEE exam happens in April and one must fill the form by February or march.

Review of IEM Kolkata, a strict Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.

Students from 5th semester onwards become eligible for campus placements TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, and Redhat are just a few examples of some service-based companies that offer placements to uem kolkata students. The highest package was 72 LPA and the average was 8.8 LPA. Almost 70-80% got placed. After getting the degree I want to be a javascript developer

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.
