- Social interaction and peer group. The senior junior interaction is very healthy and it's always positive to have good connections.
- Technical clubs : The students can participate in as many technical clubs as they want . They can give and interview to become its core member or the leads too.
Dislikes
- I did not like the attandance policy which stands at 75% . The students must be given an option to attend or not attend , as I feel sometimes we learn more outside the class .
Course Curriculum Overview :
Our course curriculum is similar to that of IIIT Hyderabad. There are a few courses , I would say 5 out of 10 , which does have high industry relevance, which according to me is a pretty good number .
Internships Opportunities :
Our college does not provide any incampus placements. After the second year we get a gap for 3 months where we can apply for internships at other companies. Getting an internship or not has nothing to do with the college.It all depends on you .
Placement Experience :
The placements are pretty good in our college .The median salary has reached 15 lpa . The highest package of the previous year was 1.2 crores . So wheb talking about the placements, IIITS does have good placement oppurtunities.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
College fee - Rs . 1.5 lakhs Hostel fee - Rs. 20K Mess fee - Rs. 20k The college doesn't provide any scholarship as such but you can apply for some of the scholarships that the private supports of our college provides . The Andhra Pradesh government also provides for scholarship under some schemes which be availed.
Campus Life :
Overall our college has a really good culture wher both the seniors and Juniors take part in all the technical as well as cultural events . Abhisarga is the techo cultural fest that happens at IIITS every year . Students from across the nation come and participate in the events here . Sports facilities are not that great here , but we are given oppurtunities to participate in inter IIIT competitions.
Hostel Facilities :
The boys are given in campus hostels , while the girls stay in rented apartments outside the campus which is about 800 meters from the academic block . The girls have to go to the academic block in the bus that is provided by the college . About the food in the hostel, it's quite decent . Menu changes every 2 months . The rooms in the hostel have wifi , fan , table , chair and a cupboard.
Admission :
I went through the entire collegedunia cutoff data , and applied for those colleges , which had the highest probability of offering me a seat . The entire admission process through JOSAA was hustle free . The only thing I did not like was , it takes a lot of time.
