Course Curriculum Overview
I am pursuing B.A Program ( Economics+ History) . According to me this B.A Program is a best course for those who wants to gain knowledge and explore multiple disciplines at one time and also it is beneficial for those who wants to prepare for government exams or private internship side by side of college studies. But the new education policy makes the very complex curriculum structure of B.A Program that's why even the 2nd year students not been able to understand their course curriculum properly. Semester exams are conducted twice in a year after the end of the semester and and the level of difficulty for top notch courses of Delhi University like economics honours is a bit higher
Internships Opportunities
The Internship Cell at Hansraj College plays a crucial role in providing students with diverse internship opportunities to enhance their corporate skills. Led by teacher convenors and student coordinators, the cell hosts events like the Internship Fair, connecting students with 40+ prestigious companies offering roles in Finance, Marketing, IT, and more. Companies participating in the process send job descriptions and interact directly with selected candidates for further details . In recent years, over 279 companies have offered 574 internship profiles, with 400+ students successfully recruited.
Placement Experience
In the last year of the graduation students can apply for the placements in Hansraj College. There is a placement cell in college which also provides opportunity of placement in college. Many unicorn and big companies come to give placement in Hansraj College like Wipro, TATA , Nestle, Swiggy, Microsoft, Deloitte, etc. The average package lies between 7 lakh to 8 lakh per year . The highest package goes around 28-30 lakhs per year. Average percentage of placement from Hansraj College is around 40-50% . My plan after getting degree is to apply for some government jobs .
Fees and Financial Aid
My one semester course fee is 22500/- which is higher than other colleges whose fee for one semester is around 12000/- . There is no any other charges or fee except course fee in Delhi University colleges . There is also a lot of scholarships available in Delhi University and also some specific scholarship of particular College for Minorities, OBCs, SC, ST, and also for general category students. The scholarship is based on the performance of students in the college and their financial condition. There is multiple intership opportunities for students in college campus both paid and unpaid. Students can join the societies of college and hold an important position in the society and give them a sense of responsibility.
Campus Life
Overall the campus life of Delhi University is not up to the expectations . There is a hipe of Delhi University in overall India but for me it is one of the best university. Hansraj College provides the facility of library and almost every types of book is there and of every discipline. Buildings of Hansraj College is quite good and there is other facilities also like conference rooms, seminar rooms, auditorium, play ground, affordable canteen, shooting range , computer labs , and science labs. There is a air conditioned class and projectors for presentation in every class .There is some top societies of college like Enactus, Nishtha - civil service society, 180 degee, NSS , etc which gives the students to work in multiple fields. There is an annual fest of Hansraj College named 'COMFLUECE' which is one of the crowding and best fest of Delhi University.
Admission
For admission in Hansraj College students have to give CUET entrance exam conducted by NTA( National testing agency. Candidate have to pay the fee of approximately 600/- for one shift . There is a 27% reservation for OBC-NCL , 15% for SC , 7.5% for ST. CUET is conducted once in a year and in multiple shifts in overall India. There is a moderate level of difficulty. Students should choose the subject for CUET according to their eligibility of the course. The cut-off of Delhi University goes around 750/800 for top colleges of DU. I don't like the allocation of exam centre by NTA .
