Course Curriculum Overview :
The course has many career opportunities regarding the agricultural and environmental areas. The curriculum has vast topics covering the areas of plant physiology, plant pathology, mycology, psychology, palynology, microbiology etc. The curriculum is well structured and prepares you at application levels. The lab works and experiments enlighten you at application levels of the course. Lab facilities can be improved. Weekly exams are conducted.
Internships Opportunities :
The college is active in placement and internship activities for only specific courses which may be changing soon. The college mainly give opportunities to the it fields. The major companies that has tie up with the college are Acentuer and TCS.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The average cost of course completion is 30000 . The semester fee is around 5000Rs for students with reservation. You get a scholarship of 7000 Rs every Year along with reduction in fees upto 1000 Rs. There are a variety of scholarships including the post matric, egrandz etc. There are no placements for our department currently which are going to be enacted from the year following.
Campus Life :
The college has great infrastructure and modern facilities. The environment of college is exceptionally green , refreshing and relaxing. The College has Three separate blocks with different departments those are linked with each other. The college has a great library and good lab facilities. The college is supporting student groups ,events, and activities etc. The college is really active in soccer, cricket, boxing archery, classical music and dance .
Admission :
Atleast 50 percentage marks in Higher Secondary in science stream(physics, biology, chemistry / physics, chemistry, computer science / physics, chemistry, maths / physics, chemistry, home science). The application form can be downloaded from Calicut University Official site. Application fees is 500Rs.The reserved category students get stipend every year along with lower fee structure throughout the course completion period. The course is of 6 semesters in total where exams are held at the end of each semesters. The exams are of average difficulty. The admission can be made easy and quick if there are computer experts taking care of the help desk.
Interview Experience :
There was no group discussions, entrance exam or screening test regarding the admissions except a face to face talk with the principal. The basic eligibility is conducted online through the eligibility certificates presented before the university. The university calculates the points by calculating average in the science subjects.
