Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The curriculum is somewhat nice but there is a lack of teaching methodology. For exams, there are still some subjects which are not used in today's world. Meanwhile, they are following the age-old tradition of teaching. Teaching techniques need to improve, and need to focus more on practical or technical parts.

Internships Opportunities

3

The summer internship is quite good compared to the final placements. The biggest opportunity to work in the startups is that you will learn a lot as a trainee. Most of the internships are unpaid. The average stipend offered is around 8000, this year highest stipend offered is 40000.

Placement Experience

1.5

The highest package is nearly 14 lakh and the average is around 8 lakh but on the website, they claim that the highest package is 25 Lakhs. The lowest package is near around 5 lakh. Only 60-65% of students got placed till now. Only very few known or reputed companies will come for the final placement process.

Fees and Financial Aid

They have mentioned proper fee structure and also provided information on how to opt for loans from their partnered banks. They have also mentioned cancellation policy and return policy on their both official and institute website. The total cost of education is approx. 22-23L which includes academics, hostel, mess etc.

Campus Life

4

Campus infrastructure is really awesome. Hostel and other campus facilities are also very good. Apart from that they also provide other campus facilities like the sports complex, gym, health center, indoor games etc. We have a huge mess as well which accommodates approx. 1200-1400 students at a time. As we talk about mess food, everyone has their taste buds but personally, I feel the mess food was completely tasteless.

Hostel Facilities

3

This is a residential course so every MBA student must stay in the hostel. They won't allow you for Pay Guest (PG) or any other outside rented options. Hostel rooms are quite good, we have 3 types of room i.e, twin sharing, triple sharing and quad sharing rooms. The twin-sharing rooms are expensive as compared to triple and quad-sharing rooms. But the other hostel facilities are okay not up to the mark. Mess food is not so good.

Admission

The SNAP exam is the first step of the admission process. You can easily find its form on their official website or you can find it on any Symbiosis college website also. After the SNAP exam, you get your performance score in the form of percentile. Ones your percentile meets the cutoff marks criteria then you are eligible for further processes like WAT and GD/PI etc.

Interview Experience

3

After the completion of the SNAP exam, they proceed towards the further admission processes for those candidates who successfully cleared the merit list of the SNAP exam. First, they conduct the WAT (Written Ability Test).

Placement Experience:

1) students become eligible for placements just after they complete their second semester examinations 2) only local companies visited to our colleges such as per Pooja, weblink services etc which were very small scale local organisations offering very poor packages to the students 3) the average package that my batch got was 2.lakhs per annum and the highest was 6 lpa where before admission the college claimed the average packages to be 6lpa and Highest to be above 10lpa 4) the percentage of students getting placed is not more than 10-15% 5)my plans after getting the degree is to look for better companies outside my college because my college hasn't been helpful in terms of placements in any manner .

Remarks:

I had already completed my chartered accountancy course and wanted to add an additional degree to my qualifications.MBA graduate can avail many career opportunities as well in future. So I wanted to pursue it via distance learning. That is why I chose Symbiosis,it provided me flexibility to choose exam days and slots on my own so I never felt exam pressure and appeared for exams when I was thorough with my syllabus. This is what I love about Symbiosis.

Remarks:

College is almost good .this for those who want only masters but no placement .if you also want to get placed in any company need only degree ur welcome. The management is worst the nonteaching staff doesn't know how to talk with students especially the admission office. I here declare whatever I have seen and suffered I presented my view about this college to you, not it's your choice to go to heaven like symbiosis or choose hell. I was misguided and helpless so I came here means I got fewer marks in a snap so please students appear for snap sincerely.

The campus is good having basic facilities like free Wifi. The campus also has a canteen which serves food during all college hours starting from 8 in the morning. The college has a clean and green atmosphere. The crowd is also good. The college administration is supportive to the students. The chairperson herself organises a session with the students regularly.
