NMIMS Hyderabad

Dislikes

  • Campus Rules like you cant leave the campus before 4 pm on weekdays and have to be back in the campus by 8pm on weekdays.
  • Campus location is in the outskirts so travelling to the city can be a hassle

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is at par with leading MBA colleges and the course is constantly updated as per industry trends. Thery cover all domains of the industry. In the 1st year it is a good blend of all the domains i.e. Finance, Marketing, HR, Operations and Analytics. In the 2nd year the offer specializations for the same.

Internships Opportunities :

Students get internship opportunites for all the domains that finance, marketing, operations, hr and analytics. The students also get the pre placements offer after the internship from the organizations if they do a outstanding job. There are a lot of good legacy brands with the college. And there are other good brands also joining lke Intel.

Placement Experience :

The placement committee is good. The placements have been improving every year in terms of both good companies and good packages as well. Even in the current period, where the placement season has been tough for most of the MBA colleges because of the economy and industry conditions, NMIMS has done a great job with the placements.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees is increased every year for the new batch though it remains same for the second year. Eg. Student paying 10L fees for first year will have the same fees in the second year but for the new batch the fees will be increased. The college has tie ups with different banks and they provide various student loan options.

Campus Life :

The campus life is good. It is on the outskirts of hyderabad and it is a huge campus. The social life outside campus is a little dull because there are not many cafe/restaurents nearby. But the social life and activities in the campus is great. There are a lot of events, fun and sports activities organised by the different clubs and committees of the college. The infrastructure is also good.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility is really good. You are provided with everything. There is a mess, general store, club house, tv room, laundry room etc in the hostel. The hostel rooms are very spacious and all the rroms have a balcony and air conditon. There is a huge study table as well.

Admission :

The admission process consisted of an entrance exam, SOP, and personal interview. The Cutoff for the exam for the Hyderabad Campus was 206. The process took the enitre day and and the schedule was very hectic. We didnt get to even eat anything till the enitre process was over which was around 7-8 hours.

Interview Experience :

Yes. There was no GD round. There were 3 different rounds. The first wound was watson test. In this test you are asked questions based on logical reasoning and critical thinking. The second round was the writing a small essay/article on a topic given by them on the spot. And the third round was the personal interview.

Placement Experience:

I am still pursuing my MBA but I have seen HR placing with 16.5 LPA which is not a core competency of this college. All the big 4's come for placements. I think I saw a minimum package that went 6 LPA and the highest around 50 LPA. It entirely depends on the student how he/she will be placed.

Remarks:

Woxsen is an excellent place to learn. This is the place for a reality check. The college management is very good. There are separate offices called Bridge and gateway to handle our queries, complaints and feedback. I had an amazing two years of learning, re-skilling myself at Woxsen.

Admission:

Admission is on the basis of TSI - CET entrance test which is a state level entrance test. A merit list is released on the basis of the test scores. Students making it to the list are invited for the counselling process.

Placement Experience:

Placements are pretty ordinary, but the college is trying to improve the corporate connections and the placements. They does have a placement cell, whose role is to create job opportunities for the students.

Remarks:

It was overall good. However it is very good for freshers although not for experienced ppl. I think they should try and get in some other good mba college. This college gives very good exposure for the freshers, grooms and helps to excel.
