Likes

Faculties and Curriculum. They have the best teaching faculties
Noiseless atmosphere to study. The college is at a remote area so no noise pollutions

No social activities. Programs are rarely conducted

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum and academics are fine. When it comes to faculties , they are excellent teaching wise. Teaching area and curriculum will never be a problem. When it comes to curriculum there is no are of improvement because they are perfect. The exams are regularly scheduled and they will be all based on previous year questions.

Class Size : 20Course Fees : INR 70000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Admission fees will be 25,000.But it is not neccessary to pay at first. Tuition fees will 11250 per semester. NSS is available and certifiates are also provided at ease. Every month the fees should be closed before 10th,but if any financial problem arises for a particular student,they sometimes give extra time for fee to be closed.

Campus Life :

When it comes to social aspects and campus life ,it is a bit dissappointing. Programs are rarely conducted. Party unions are not allowed , so no problem with that. Art day is conducted but student union must be taking ful responsability. Freshers day is also not available. Christmas celebration and onam celebration are conducted successfully without any fail. Student social groups are not available . Academically best but socially bit of dissappointing.

Admission :

Admission processes where not based on +2 mark ,every courses are available. If the seats are filled getting admissions is tough. Application form and informations are available at the front office itself ,there will be no further delays. On the prespective of exams and classes u will never be dissappointed because exams are conducted strictly and regularly. But campus atmosphere is not that friendly .On behalf of academics it is a perfect match but when it comes to functions and programs its a bit shady.

Victoria College offers a B.sc psychology which very less, countable government colleges offer. This is the main reason to select this college. The curriculum provides practical examinations which is really useful for job opportunities. Improvements can be done in the textbook to make it more approachable for students. Lifescience stream

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I wanted a lifescience stream. I thought it will be good for my future career. The teachers of the biochemistry department are all so supportive and they teaches very well. They help understand the concepts. They also teaches using presentation and practical classes are there from second year. This is a three year course where we have to study biochemistry core . chemistry and zoology/ botony as complimentary, English and second language either hindi/ malayalam/ french/ sankrit or arabic. All teachers have PhD in respective fields. There are 40 students in a batch. The exams are conducted once in 4 months. Exams are easy to pass if you are interested in this subject. Students who love a research career or love lifescience should take this course.

From 1st semester onwards they give training to how to attend the interview so on. From the 4th semester, we can attend the placement. They will conduct a program so that everyone from the other college can attend. 80% of the students are getting placed. My plan after the degree is to take a master degree.

Admission:

Admission in this college is given through management quota as well as Government quota. I got through government quota. I applied through Calicut university, after filing form I was shortlisted according to merit and I chose this college in my priority list and was given admission. I had physics, chemistry and biology in 12th.

Placement Experience:

Placement and job opportunity for our department is very less we have more opportunities after doing masters, in our college we don't have job opportunity or placement after UG. College should try to bring placement facilities for our department.
