Course Curriculum Overview :

The subject I took, Physics is of great relevance nowadays. Very few number of Physics lecturers who are able to teach degree students are there especially in Kerala. So we can expect a good oppertunity ahead. So sad that the curriculum do not prepares the students for real world applications or further accadamic pursuits. Practical should be done along with theory. Throughout the lab sessions students are just following the lab manual without grasping the actual concept. There is no specific timings for exams. In some semesters students will get only 3 months to study the entire portions. There is no timely publishing of exam results.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I took admission for BSc Physics from Kerala University under merit quota for the academic year 2022-25 At the time of admission I've payed 6000 rupees(Admission fees+1 year tuition fees+caution fees+registrati9n fees+lab fees+pta membership fees) Yearly Fees: About 2000 rupees per annum Students who has EWS( having KPCR scholarship) are excluded from all kind of fees except lab fee. Students who got admission under management quota have to pay fees according to their Plus Two marks( About 10K each year)

Campus Life :

The campus life is incredibly enriching, both socially and acadamically with a diverse student community that makes it easy to form friendship and networks. The campus also provides oppertunity to meet people from different backgrounds. Only a minimal number of festivals and events are held in our college. I don't know the exam reason. Anyway that is a big negetive.

Admission :

I haven't applied to any other college. I chose this college considering the lesser travel time. The college function in a very disciplined manner when compared to other nearby colleges. That was also a plus point.

Faculty :

In Physics department, there are 7 faculties and 1 HOD in total(UG+PG). In Chemistry department, there are 2 faculties and 1 HOD. In Zoology department, there are 2 faculties and 1 HOD. In English department, there are 2 faculties and 1 HOD and some guest lecturers. In Economics department, there are 1 faculty and 1 HOD and some guest lecturers. In Commerce department, there are 3 faculties and 1 HOD

Course Curriculum Overview:

Victoria College offers a B.sc psychology which very less, countable government colleges offer. This is the main reason to select this college. The curriculum provides practical examinations which is really useful for job opportunities. Improvements can be done in the textbook to make it more approachable for students. Difficulty level is moderate and an average student can score really well within a week of exam preparation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I wanted a lifescience stream. I thought it will be good for my future career. The teachers of the biochemistry department are all so supportive and they teaches very well. They help understand the concepts. They also teaches using presentation and practical classes are there from second year. This is a three year course where we have to study biochemistry core . chemistry and zoology/ botony as complimentary, English and second language either hindi/ malayalam/ french/ sankrit or arabic. All teachers have PhD in respective fields. There are 40 students in a batch. The exams are conducted once in 4 months. Exams are easy to pass if you are interested in this subject. Students who love a research career or love lifescience should take this course.

From 1st semester onwards they give training to how to attend the interview so on. From the 4th semester, we can attend the placement. They will conduct a program so that everyone from the other college can attend. 80% of the students are getting placed. My plan after the degree is to take a master degree.

Placement Experience:

Placement and job opportunity for our department is very less we have more opportunities after doing masters, in our college we don't have job opportunity or placement after UG. College should try to bring placement facilities for our department.
