Course Curriculum Overview :

History leads to the past and knowing our past will make us a better citizen. This was the reason why I chose History. Choosing history can make us understand our culture, tradition in a better way and help us understand societal problems in a better way as we view the problems in a historical perspective. The teachers in the history department of the college are very friendly towards the students and are updated in their fields. The exams are conducted semester wise at the end of every semester and the exams are moderately difficult.

Class Size : 47Course Fees : INR 1000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid :

The tuition fee is yearly and the exam fee is separate which we should pay while we register for the exam. The yearly fee is around 1050 which can vary according to the course and year. The college also provides scholarships like E-grantz and other financial assistance for the students facing financial trouble. The college also has clubs for each department and also conducts college fest.

Campus Life :

The campus is politically alive and also has a vibrant campus life and also conducts college fest annually and also has other fests conducted by different departments and parties. The college also has a huge library accessible for students with study materials, reference guides and other books. The classrooms are furnished with fans, blackboards, benches, desks and proper ventilation. The college also promotes extracurricular activities, sports and also has NSS and NCC. The college also has a college playground for the students.

Admission :

The admission process was conducted through both online and offline mode. The application process was through online mode and the verification process was through offline mode. The eligibility of the course was 12 th pass with a percentage above 50. The application form, notifications and details regarding the fee structure will be available on the official website of Calicut University and the college official website. The university provides reservations for SC,ST and OBC students. The exams are conducted semester wise at the end of each semester and the time will vary according to the time when the semester ends.

Placement Experience:

The college provides many placement opportunities. The campus placements happens during the sixth semester of the course. The college conducted many placement drives. The college provided classes to enhance interview skills. The college also provided opportunities to prepare Resume, Curriculum Vitae and conducted mock interviews to enhance their confidence level. Most of the students got placed who attended the interviews. I am planning to go for higher studies. I am planning to pursue Masters in English Literature. I am hoping to get admitted to this college itself.

Placement Experience:

There are placements in St thomas, with a placement cell but I have to say it beyond terrible. Especially students from criminology and forensics have zero opportunities in their field. They barely help with higher education or career counseling. It was quite frustrating as they had a negative approach itself to our batch
