Course Curriculum Overview
SIBM Nagpur offers 6 specialisations being- Marketing, Finance, Operations, Food & Agriculture, Business Analytics and Human Resources. The curriculum is vast and on the point. Being a marketing student, I have come across various new research and data implementation techniques such as Advanced Level Excel, etc. which I believe will make me prepared for the corporate. The course is highly relevant and we have surprise tests once a month which tests whether we are actively paying attention in the class or not. One suggestion- last minute time table changes and no information about the same becomes a hassle.
Fees and Financial Aid
SIBM Nagpur charges 22lakhs for its MBA which is excluding hostel and mess fees. Hostel and mess fee is another 1.5 lakhs but it is all worth it. The campus looks like a white house which has academic activities taking place all the time. We have guest lecturers coming 2 times a month which add to the value. The college has several scholarships that they offer as well including the batch highest scorer, female support program, etc.
Campus Life
SIBM Nagpur has an amazing campus life! You will find people from all corners of India over here and the best place to make friends is in the mess. The college has over 15 committees and 10 clubs with 10 students in each so that every student gets a chance to be a part of some club. Along with this we have a cultural committee called Symfonia that is responsible for managing all cultural and festival events and once a month we have DJ night.
Admission
The admission process was quite intriguing and fun at the same time. I had a panel of 15 students for the group discussion and had a very interesting topic which led to a very nice debate. My PI focused on my individual skills and as I am an experienced person, they questions revolved around my work experience only. My interview lasted 20 minutes in total. The thing that I didnt like was that the group discussion had become a fish market as we were only given 10 minutes and everyone was trying to speak at the same time which added to the nuisance.
Interview Experience
SIBM Nagpur has 3 stages for selection- Written Test in which they showcase an image to you and you have to write 300 words about what you are able to understand. 2nd stage is the GD where there is a panel of 3 judges and 15 students are given 10 minutes to debate on the same. My topic for GD was- All roses should be red 3rd stage is PI which lasted for a good 20 minutes for me. It revolved around my resume and work experience. They also focused on the questions that I answered while applying for the institute.
