Course Curriculum Overview :
The MHRD curriculum at JBIMS is definitely strong in its relevance and comprehensiveness. Courses like Talent Acquasition in the digital age, performance management in a globalized workforce, and Change Management directly addressed current industry challenges and equipped me with practical skills. The inclusion of modules like Business Strategy, SCM & Operations, Finance and Marketing Fundamentals provides a well rounded understanding of broader business context. All the faculties are experts from the intdustry leading global teams in organizations, and their insights are invaluable. The MHRD program is excellent for ones interested in HRM and will further enhance its relevance for future generations.
Internships Opportunities :
JBIMS MHRD offers a wide range of internship opportunities with diverse companies across various industries. The internship roles offered are designed for valuable experience and immense learning. Besides Summer Internships, JBIMS MHRD also facilitates Live projects with great organizations, where students work on real-world challeneges. The college provides excellent support for securing internships, with workshops on resume building, interview skills, and industry knowledge. I highly recommend JBIMS for overall experiences.
Placement Experience :
JBIMS MHRD boasts an impressive placement record, with an average salary of Rs.19 LPA and highest package offered over Rs.26 LPA last year. The placement rate stands at 100% and a significant percentage of students are placed in their preferred industries like consulting, banking and finance, FMCG, etc. The placement process is well-organized and provides access to various resources and workshops to help students prepare. While ROI at JBIMS is one of the best and that is the decision changing point to go for JBIMS MHRD.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The annual fee for the MHRD program is Rs.350,000. There are no scholarships specifically for MHRD students. Several external organizations offer scholarships for MBA students, and the college provides guidance on applying for them. Students facing financial difficulty can also explore loans through the college's tie-up with specific banks. The MHRD program boasts a strong placement record, with top companies consistently recruiting students. The institute also brings immense opportunities for summer internship placements with roles like - HR Intern, Change Management, Rewards Intern, HR Tech, DEI, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Industrial Relations, etc
Campus Life :
JBIMS might not have a sprawling campus, but its location in the heart of Mumbai adds a unique charm to campus life. The Oval Maidan becomes our playground during breaks, and impromptu visits on Marine Drive are a common occurrence. The diverse student body brings a vibrant mix of cultures and perspectives, making social interactions enriching and fun. While the infrastructure might not be world-class, the library offers a quiet space with vast collection on resources. The common areas, though limited, are well maintained and provide ample opportunities for informal interactions.
Admission :
As a JBIMS student, I found the admission process for MHRD to be well organized overall. I appeared for the CAT exam as well as CET exam and scored above the cutoff. While I agree the CET is generally considered easier than the CAT, I found the Logical Reasoning section particularly challenging. Practicing with previous years' papers and mock tests proved very helpful. I believe adding an extempore round to the interview process would allow candidates to showcase their communication skills and ability to think on their feet. Although my interview was interesting, I felt a bit restricted by the structured questions, and an extempore could provide a more holistic assessment. JBIMS admission process, specifically for MHRD is good overall. By streamlining the application process, providing clearer communication, and considering an extempore round, I believe JBIMS MHRD can attract even more talented and diverse students.
