Remarks :

This college is having all useful amenities which is required for an engineering college.

Entrance Preview :

I cleared jharkhand combined engineering entrance exam (2005) and ranked 460. I can get a seat in bit sindri with this rank though i joined haldia institute of technology, haldia after doing a small research on its infrastructure and campus placements details using my AIEEE 2005 all india rank 37296 through AIEEE state college admission drive. I am proud of my decision i took in 2005.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum of my college is good. They follow wbut syllabus and exams routine. I can assure you people that if you can follow the syllabus properly you will be able to crack and technical recruitment drive in private,central government and psu sector. They always encourage their student to take GATE exam.

Internships Opportunities :

I did my internship in indian oil petronas limited, haldia.I dont get any stipend during internship.But this industry provided me lot of information on functioning of an organization,technical knowledge required to run such plant.Companies like indian oil,hpcl,exide, haldia dock complex,tata chemicals limited etc.

Placement Experience :

I was able to secure my place in tata steel processing and distribution limited( tspdl) during pool campus. But lot of company arrived in my college during placement season like,tcs, wipro, infosys, tata power,vedanta, dcpl, hpcl,boc etc placements mainly depends on preparation of students.The college provides ample opportunity during placement season.

College Events :

Riviera is the main college fest they organize every year in our college. Apart from them cultural fest occurs every year.Prayukti tech fest organised in our campus every year.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes this college provides financial aid to needy students after each semester based on their performance and your financial background.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio boys vs girl was like 70- 30 %.its a big campus usually after classes the entire campus looks like a party place.Students comes from each part of country due to AIEEE quota. College got its own big ground where one can play cricket, football, basketball.college organize sports meet every year.Cultural meet find talented people in college by organizing many competition in different fields.Prayukti provides platform for alll robotics lover.No politics is encouraged by administration.

Hostel Facilities :

I stayed in p5 hostel the room was big. It was sharing accommodation.One big room was shared by four person that sound really bad but i assure you by the end of your college may be these year mates become best mate in your life.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Hardship ends someday after Placements.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placement after the 6th semester onwards.A total of 98 companies visited our college out of which they offered 120 offers and 86 students applied for placements out of which 78 are selected in the CSE branch. The selection was 90 percent. Average pay was 4-5LPA and the highest was 25LPA CTC in India. After getting my degree i planned for higher studies and placement in a MNC.

Remarks:

Nothing is perfect in the whole universe. There were loopholes in the college administration and there were a few, not-so-good guys, who did mistreat with students but thanks to the higher authorities, those were never a permanent issue.
