Remarks :

College campus was very small considering the fact that it was shared between school, junior college, diploma and degree students. Construction is done every year but the results doesn't improves. Canteen scenario is also not very impressive.

Entrance Preview :

Admission is given on the basis of a state entrance exam which is MH-CET. I scored 102 out of 200. I secured admission through minority quota on the basis of merit for the muslim students which was conducted offline.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Labs were very frequent as there was always 2-3 every semester which required practical sessions. In the first year subjects were difficult as all branches subjects were included. From second year on wards only extc subjects were included.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships were not provided by the institute. Students were not even allowed to continue there internship during their college hours. This is something which needed a change.

Placement Experience :

Two major technical companies came for recruitment. One was TCS and other was TeraData. Due to eligibility criteria most of the students didn't had the opportunity to even appear for the companies. 14 students got placed in the technical companies while many other non-technical companies came for the recruitment.

College Events :

One very casual festival was organised each year. Sports events was priorities and one major motor cycling event was organised which was very popular among students.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees varied from year to year. For the first year it was 85000, for the second year it was around 95000 which was taken in 2 installments. For the third year it was 92000 again taken in 2 installments. For the last year it 89000 which was expected to be paid in 1 installment at the start of the year.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarships for minority Muslim students were provided by the government. Also EBC students were given scholarship on the basis of their tuition fees.

Campus Life :

Some coding programmes were organised. Group fashion shows competition was organised.

Hostel Facilities :

No hostels rooms were built in the college or by the college. But students used to live in hostels near the college.

Alumni/Alumna :

All passed out students were told to fill the alumni form om the college website, but never taken into use as most of the time students declines the offer given to them.

Exam Structure :

2 Unit tests were scheduled in every half of the year before the semester. In last two years major importance was given to mini and major projects and number of subjects were reduced.

Faculty :

Faculty was okayish. Apart from 2-3 good teachers, it was very disappointing. Majority had a good teaching experience. Handful of teachers were supportive with the students. Interaction during lectures about the subjects was very less as most of the time it was about assignments.

Placement Experience:

Students from the 7th semester onwards are eligible for campus placements. Core Biomedical companies like GE, Medtronics, biosense etc and IT companies like TCS, JIO, INFOSYS, CAPGEMINI etc Recruit Biomedical Engineers. Most Biomedical Students prefer Masters over placements. 80 percent of students from selected candidates get placed. I will go for Placements and I will get into post graduation after clearing GATE 2023.

Remarks:

Location is most likely a factor for me. It is closed to my home. And the another factor is that, Different colleges offer different programs with their curriculum. For example, as an Engineering student, I had a set of classes that I was required to take, with little deviation apart from electives.

Placement Experience:

I haven't experienced placements yet. but yes the deserving students get internship every year. The whole staff of this college is very nice.

I would say that there are many other good colleges in pune for mechanical engineering , as the cut off of this colldge is low so students not willing to compromise on the branch can take admission here without any second thought .
