The campus is little far from the main city of Chandigarh so the commute to city takes time

Course Curriculum Overview :

I wanted to pursue law as a career therefore i opted ballb course. I went for an integrated program because i wanted to save 1 year as to pursue law you have to have a graduation degree first. The faculty student ratio is pretty good in our department. They are well qualified professors with the apt teaching methodology and doubt solving skills. Experienced facult members who guide you at every step. The teaching method is pretty decent here there are maximum 4 classes of a particular subject and one class is reserved for tutorial. The university conducts 2 mid sems and one end term examination. The msts are pretty much easy to pass but the end term difficulty ranges from moderate to tough.

Class Size : 50Course Fees : INR 130000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There is a dedicated internship and placement department of our college. They provide assistance in acquiring internships. The internship ranges from law firms to private companies, human rights commissions and dispute redressal office etc.

Placement Experience :

The placements are pretty decent considering the field of law. There is a dedicated training and placement cell of the college.Internship opportunities are provided and assistance is given to students. The college invites various law firms, companies for campus placements. A large number of students usually dont sit for it because either they want to start practice or go for higher studies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

During my admission the fee structure was pretty affordable.The total fees for the semester was 65000 then you had to pay 2000 for exam fee. But, since i had a scholarship of 50 percent my fee was reduced drastically to 32500. The scholarships are provided based on your scores from the cucet examination conducted by the university.

Campus Life :

The campus is always pre occupied by n number of fests and events happening almost every week. There are many tech fests, start up events, innovation meet , cultural fests, concerts going around. The annual fest usually happens in the month of march.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facilities are quite nice. THERE ARE MORE THAN 8 towers in the hostel premises. My hostel fee is 90000 but it has soiked up now for new batches. The premise is lush green with lawns, walking paths, trees , plants tuck shops and open spaces. The hostel provides you internet facilties, gym membership.

Hostel Fee : INR 90000 per year

Admission :

You have to give cucet exam based on which you are selected for the admission and also based on that scholarship is availed to students. The exam is conducted in 2 shifts. The students can find the application for the same in the official website for the same.

Interview Experience :

During the year if my admission there was no such procedure of personal interview or group discussion , the admission was solely based on the marks acquired in the entrance test conducted by the university. But since past year the law department is conducting personal interview also.

My deep hearted review for the Chandigarh University

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for their placements in last semester. The companies visit for the offer for the students are wipro tech Mahindra and many more renowned firms. The highest package in law is offered of rupees 6 to 7 lakh annual package The percentage of students getting placements is 70% of students those who crack the interviews of the companies. My plans after degree are preparing for the govt. Exams.

UILs - A Once in a Lifetime Experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is not that well designed. The Subjects are not being taught for real-world applications. Especially B.Com LLb is being taught as unwillingly. They don't care for B.com LLb students at all. Teachers available for B.com are very poorly qualified as compared to B.A LLb Teachers. Frequency of Exams is good. But Presentations can be a bit Time Consuming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Firstly, the university provides for all types of law, BA, BBA or BCOM and the fees are very reasonable compared to other private colleges. UILS focuses on both academics and curriculum activities like moot court, and various types of competitions for skills development. But the only major issue is that, we have classes the whole day with just a one hour recess. from 9:30 till 4:20. It exhausts the students, after which the entire day is considered as waste

Admission:

Walk in admissions. Just walk into the capmus and ask the admissions cell regarding the course. And then you can easily get the admissions. Also there are many admissions cell outside campus in different cities and they also provide with the same information.

Placement Experience:

It has been ranked amongst top universities with respect to the placements and job opportunities with more than 750 companies companies offering job to the students with highest package of almost 22 lakhs.
