Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose the course because it was an innovative field and a bit different from the other monotonous streams. Each class is given 3 professors for the design classes and each teacher has roughly 10-15 students under them to guide for the semester. Most of them have a bachelor's degree in architecture from the renowned architectural colleges in India . Post COVID the semester duration was short so the exams were a bit at a faster pace but passing them was kind of moderate because of the models taught to us were on point.

Internships Opportunities :

The 9th semester is the one for internship. I haven't reached that semister year but my seniors who were in 5th year always told that they got offer letters from the best firms across India and the stipend carried from 15000-18000 during the 6 month internship period.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The course fee doesn't alter for the time span of 5 years so the fees for education in my college would be roughly 5.5 lakhs for the entire 5 years course which I would say is cheaper than the other colleges .

Campus Life :

Social life in my college is great the senior junior interaction is wholesome and the environment is quite healthy. Annual fests are held once a year but there are activities and cultural events throughout the year. The college publishes it's magazine once a year. The amenities provided are sufficient enough. Sports activities occur every month, myself being the sports coordinator I take ample pride in conducting sports event throughout the year. There are groups such as photography group, dance ,music ,sports ,drama so there is an overall interactive activities going on throughout the year

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel had water filter , washing machine ac and other basic amenities. The meal didn't meet my expectations it was too much to ask for during my stay at hostel. Registration process was normal it was carried out during the admission process itself I recently rented a room in CDA

Admission :

To get into the college we need to clear the NATA examination (Nation Aptitude Test in Architecture) and need to clear the passing marks with a minimum of 75% in-class 12 borads examination that too in Science stream.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Architectural design studio was the only inspiration for me to choose Architecture, the subject deals with the applications of the ideas we have in our head to a practical form, our curriculum is based on the real world applications , we deal with construction, electricity, acoustics, water supply and sanitation, history, contemporary architecture, interior designing, landscaping, climatology etc which are all based on real world applications. Examinations happens when its almost the end of the syllabus so we usually dont face any difficulty appearing for it. The difficulty level of the Examination is easy to moderate for a student who pays attention in the classes, even if you listen in the class and memorize it and dont study afterwards you'll score good. It's that accurate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is a bit tough as our college comes under BPUT and we don't get to know soon enough when our exams are scheduled. The faculty members are extremely good in our college. These are people who have the experience and knowledge to help the students whenever they want.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum, academics and faculties are good here. For Architecture department the faculty to student ratio is 1:10. In our department, the recruitment of contractual faculties is less. Almost 60% of them are permanent teachers. Most of the faculties are very regular, supportive and strict about teaching. They always support students to understand and practice major papers like designing and construction thoroughly. But for the theory subjects, one can't only depend on the college faculties to understand and learn properly. However, you get enough time, scope and a healthy environment to grow by yourself. The priority for major subjects helps you to follow your passion.

Placement Experience:

The university has posted great placement record throughout the years and students often get multiple placement options to choose from.To sum it,if you are at VSSUT you better not worry about getting placed.

Campus Life:

Labs are pretty old for electrical and mechanical(but they try to keep updated though) but rest of the branches labs are in a good state,If you get into mech.(my branch) it's a bit convenient here as your pre-final year teachers are going to help you a lot and i hope same for every branch. There are active clubs like SAE(Society of Automotive Engineers)which holds the two best teams of Eastern India in the category of BAJA and FORMULA STUDEND where student builds all terrain and Formula 3 cars and actively take part in national and international level competetion and races .

Remarks:

As a government college it's ok. but it could be better. Because government is giving enormous amout of money for improvisation of colleges and it's infrastructure. But the money is not utilised in improvement. It's being gapped by higher authorised people.
