Decoding Hotel Management

One big reason for joining this course was that my father himself is from the same background so that had an influence on me. The facilities at my institute are highly qualified yet they need to improve a bit on their teaching methods and skills.My term exams were moderately tough and are to be given at 4,5 month interval.

Internship is major part of our course and generally companies offer something ranging from Rs 1000 a month to Rs 5000 a month. Yes it is extremely low compared to any other field but I personally felt money doesn't matter the learning and skills you acquire matters.

Our college has won the award for having the highest placement percentage among all hotel management colleges. Companies such as oberoi, IHCL, ITC, Hyatt, Marriott etc all come for recruitment at our college.The highest package is around 6 lakh per annum.

Recently there has been a huge hike in the course prices from 4 lakhs to almost 5 lakhs within 2 years but the overall quality and experience has been enhanced quite a lot. I have recently joined IHCL with an annual package of approx 4 lakhs.

We have freshers which is conducted in October, after that we have our annual function in December followed up by Gourmet nite which is a special event hosted by our college. A wide range of sports are played during the sports week which takes place in December or else in January.
