Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences

Dislikes

  • Unhygienic washroom on each floors. And most floors do not even have the access to washrooms
  • Infrastructure not developed. Projectors changed after 2 years. Once there's a power cut it's a complete blackout

Course Curriculum Overview :

Choosing this course was based on many reasons. Firstly the growth of dental studies in the near future was the major reason. The faculties are also well qualified and each subject has 3 faculties. The teachers are approachable and really comfortable with all the students. The teaching methods are also good. You will find professionalism in the college with some strict curriculum and rules. We have our class test and viva scheduled every week or as soon as the topic is done.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship begins in the final year but your clinical practice begins in the third year itself. Again mentioning the hospital has a good patient flow so you get to witness and deal with different cases and develop your skills. The current batch is getting a pay of 12,000 during their intership which goes on increasing by 5% every year.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is affordable as the college is not completely government it's just government funded. Students belonging to economically weaker sections do get a chance to apply for scholarships. The hospital has a good patient inflow with a month of waiting list so you will get really skilled at your job.

Campus Life :

The college itself doesn't have any official clubs or anything. Neither will you be getting any official freshers or farewell. But nonetheless your seniors give you a great freshers without involving the college and so is for the farewell. There are some clubs running by the students which you can be a part of for more social exposure. There's one fest Ignition which is our college fest. This fest takes place in the month of March.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostels are really good provided it's government funded. With such minimum costings you get all services. Electricity, water supplies, hot water in winters, water coolers on each floor. You have the acess to washing machine, gym, common rooms with television. The hostel also provides Aur conditioned reading rooms with proper chair and table. There's also campus wifi which is provided in the second year of college. The hostel is alloted on the merit basis. The registration process begins after your admission process. The meal is fine not bad like people talk about hostel food. It's manageable
