Course Curriculum Overview

Shaheed Bhagat Singh has one of the best faculty member in University of Delhi even than north campus . Most of the teachers in especially political science department are P.H.D degree holders. Semester exam are 2 time in year and it's not much difficult to pass the exams if studied properly

Placements: In the year 2022-23, approximately 60% of students were placed in the B.Com program. The highest package offer was 23 LPA . A lot of big companies, like the Big 4, recruit students from companies like Deloitte, Ernst & Young, and KPMG. However ,Most of people from Political science are willing to pursue government exams

Fees and Financial Aid

After the new education policy, there is great fees hike from something 7-8k to 13k for 1 year course . Course is worth but this is sudden hike which is not affordable for many of the students in Delhi and outside

Campus Life

Most of the infrastructure of Shaheed Bhagat Singh college is getting constructed with new infrastructure . Library is really good with most of the books available. Sports and extra curricular activities are worth and there near about 30-40 societies with different activities which are really good

Admission

I have the CUET exam conducted by NTA , I cleared the exam by 715/800 score and then applied for University of Delhi for admission. They release the 3 cuttoff for admission but I got in 1st cutoff . Eligibility criteria for course is to give must give 3 subject+ English exam .

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell which comes up with lots and lots of internship and job offers throughout the year, you get multiple new job opportunities every week but the campus placement is not all that great, B Com courses have somewhat decent placements. the college doesn't push very much or try much to get students placed, you're on your own.

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
