Course Curriculum Overview :

In du for ba sociology honours, we do have 6 semesters. Professors are highly qualified in ip for sociology honours. And in each semester we do have one internal assessment test and internal assessment assignments.

Class Size : 52Course Fees : INR 21000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

The students become eligible in 5th sem. Companies that visited campus are Deloitte, de shaw and co., yamaha, godrej, PWC, etc. A number of offer letters received is 160 plus. The highest package is 21 LPA and the average package is 8 LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Ip offers various courses and have different department for them. In the college every department has different fee Structures. As for the Sociology honours students, we pay around 20 to 21 thousand each year.

Campus Life :

Ip does organize various cultural programs every year. We do celebrate different feat and programs organized by different departments in almost each month of the year. Ip celebrates it's annul fest as Shruti also. It has a separate building for library too.

Admission :

I took admission in the year 2021, In order to apply for admission to Delhi University’s undergraduate courses, candidates are required to have cleared Class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognized board of school education. A candidate who seeks admission in B.A courses at Delhi University are required to have completed Class 12 or an equivalent exam with minimum marks or more as specified for his/her category. then du will release it's cutoff for different colleges and according to our choice and the course we fit in we get to choose that respective course in the choosen college. On receiving the application, the Colleges verify the application and uploaded documents to Approve/Decline the candidature. The Colleges verify the documents uploaded by the Candidate for eligibility and meeting the required Cut-Off. Those Candidates whose applications are ‘Approved by the Principal’, are required to pay the fee within the stipulated time.

My dream college

Remarks:

The college is good and faculty teacher is very helpful and the canteen is great. The playground is very big and clean. College has many societies. Admission process is merit based and first cum basis.

Admission:

No, because my admission merit based and my performance and sc quota so I can't face any group discussion, interview, or written tests. My result calculation is sufficient to get admission.

Experience of life with this college

Remarks:

The college is excellent when it comes to academic excellence though it lacks a bit in infrastructure and placements.

Admission:

After giving my 12th class board exams I was looking at potential places to do my graduation from and Delhi University and Jamia millia islamia were on the top of my list due to their reputation and excellent national rankings. I ended up choosing jamia because it had the reputation for being very academics oriented and having a sincere student body.The fact that jamia has an entrance exam was also a draw for me as it ensured my peers were selected on the basis of stiff competition ensuring I got the best environment to pursue my academics.Jamia conducts its entrance exam around june-july with admissions taking place in august. The admission process is pretty straightforward and most of the process such as registration and payment of fees is online. The final registration is done in person in the university itself. Original documents such as 10th and 12th marksheets are required as well as character certificate and school leaving certificate. The list of required documents is available on the university website.

Our college has JEET placement Cell. JEET provides weekly updates on new internships. There are too many opportunities. However my course, Psychology doesn't have placement opportunities as such as Psychology is a complex field that has yet to be Specified in Masters.
