Hostel rooms are a plus point here. They are clean and have windows for ventilation.
The library is like a treasure. I can spend my whole day here.

Dislikes

The food here is average. They do not have many options in snacks.
We do not get much holidays. Getting holidays here is a tough thing.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It's a trimester course. Faculty here is experienced and majorly focus on practical aspect of the concept that they teach. There are two exams in each term- mid term and the end term. The class is divided into a number of sections depending on the size of the batch.

Class Size : 12Course Fees : INR 900000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Internships for all domains are being offered from sales to analytics. Live Projects are being provided. They are a great source of practical learning in a short span of time. Small as well as big companies provide such opportunities.

Placement Experience :

Students of second year are eligible for placements and students of first year are eligible for internship programmes. Companies from all domain come for the recruitment be it for jobs or internships. Almost 100% of the batch gets placed each year. Well-known companies such as Infosys, Oracle, E&Y, IDFC Bank, etc come.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college provided scholarships. The fees in respect with the quality of the teaching methodology is justifiable. The college provides internship and placement opportunities, however the placement is cenrralized which means that you need to go to the main oldest campus which is in Bangalore foe placements. Some internships include stipend, some do not depending on the company.

Campus Life :

Since it is a residential programme, life here is mixture of beautiful and tensed moments. The library provides a wide range of books, articles, journal, magazines, etc. It is such a rich source of gathering information and knowledge about something. The classrooms are well-equipped with AC, projector facility, chairs and benches. Annual fest here is Quest, it's such a big event that everyone feels enthusiastic about. We have indoor and outdoor sports availabale as well. XSL (Xavier Sports League) is conducted to maintain the energy and active participation of the students. We have different clubs here as well for finance, marketing, operations, HR, etc. Every club, every event is like learning in a fun way.

Hostel Facilities :

Each hostel room provides accommodation to 2 students. The rooms are clean providing an almirah, a table, a chair to every student. We have AC and non-AC rooms both. The complete cleaning of the room is done every week. The canteen provides average food. It is mandatory to stay in hostel here. We have in-timings for the hostel as well.

Hostel Fee : INR 300000 per year

Admission :

The admission process was a smooth one. I got into this college through CAT. There is a GDPI round which is conducted offline and online as well (you can choose either of these), I chose the online mode. The PI round felt more like a conversation, it made me relaxed during the interview. Application form can easily be found on the college's website.

Interview Experience :

To get into this college, I gave GDPI round, it was online. I got the abstract topic, "Is Indian Education System Hampering a Child's Creativity?" We were12 students in one round of GD. In PI, they asked general questions.

SMS CUSAT

Placement Experience:

From 3rd semester, students are eligible for campus placements. The companies include federal bank ICICI Bank, Turn B, DHL, Reliance, Kellogg's, and Kimji Ramdas. The highest package was done by Kimji Ramdas for around 21 lakhs per annum. Around 90% of students are placed. My plan is to get placed after the completion of the course.

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester, students become eligible for placements ie; at the beginning of second year itself . Students are eligible with a CGPA of 7 for most of the companies visiting Amrita School of Business, Kochi. Most of the banks like Federal Bank, South Indian Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI BANK etc comes for placement. Also PWC, Deloitte, BNY Mellon etc comes for placement. Placement Experience:

After trimester 4 students are eligible for campus placements. Companies such as Infosys, Wipro, Hexaware, EY, Birlasoft, Envision, Accenture, Dell, Digit Insurance, HDFC Bank, Grant Thornton, Photon, Indegene, Mphasis, Advantage club, Feedback Consulting, Panasonic, IDFC, GATI, Reliance Retail, Pepperfry, PwC. Profiles are offered in the Finance, HR, Marketing, Operations, and Analytics domain. By the end of January, 5th Trimester, 80% of the students are placed. I plan to continue with the job I secured and create a name for myself in my industry.

My XIME journey

Placement Experience:

There are 6 semesters in total and the placement drives starts in the month of November. The students should have above 4.8 CGPA out of 8 to become eligible for the placements. The current average CTC is 8.10 and as of now above 60 companies have visited our campus. The college had 100% placement in the previous year and likely to have the same in the current year. Overall the campus placement is amazing with ROI of 1 year. Company comes for all the domains like finance, Marketing, operations, analytics and HR

Admission:

My admission was done on the basis of entrance mode. I took the CAT exam and scored 76%. So I was eligible for the admission. Oh! I almost forgot I filled out the application form online from the official website of the Calicut University and then my application was shortlisted.

Placement Experience:

The placement provided by our college was overall good. The placement cell from my college was very active and provided a lot of placement opportunities by inviting familiar companies like HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, etc. Our college has an average percentage of 30% and above rate in placement.
