Infrastructure is very great and the views of dehradun is great.

Dislikes

Whether condition is very poor and it creates a lot of problem to travel
Low availability of transport is also a problem

Course Curriculum Overview :

I always wanted to be part of this coding and tech community. I always had an interest in computer science. Talking about the student-to-faculty ratio there are approximately 2200 students in Btech First year and 100 faculties. The Faculties are exceptionally qualified here teachers have done a doctorate from IITs And NITs. So there is a lot to learn from them. The mid-semester and end-semester exams take place on time there is a little bit problem in covering the syllabus due to a lot of events and activities happening. Yes, the exams are quite difficult.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 500000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Microsoft and Dell offer intership in UPES with a stipend of 25000 to 75000. You have to work on a lot of projects and be competitive so that you stand out from the crowd. So work hard on your skills and do a lot of projects.

Placement Experience :

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Microsoft and Dell visited and a number of offers made was around 2200. The highest package offered was 44 lakhs and the average package was 8 lakhs. 94% of students were placed in the School of Computer Science. Not yet decided but thinking of pursuing a master's.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is a fee hike policy every year and the cost to study is not quite affordable I will say because it costs around 1900000 lakhs fees without any scholarship. Scholarships are offered to students who have performed well in competitive exams like JEE Mains, CUET, etc. There is financial assistance available for students who come from poor backgrounds. The job you get on campus comes with a stipend so you just need to get placed in a good company.

Campus Life :

UURJA and UHACKTHON are the annual fest and tech fest which are conducted in November and September. There is a bunch of variety for different fields and there are books available for research purposes. A good sports facility is available at UPES, there is a football ground and cricket ground on campus, many basketball courts, badminton courts, Tennis courts, etc. Go Green, MUN are some of the social groups and clubs or websites run by students.

Hostel Facilities :

There is a study table and bed, bookshelf, etc. Meal quality is good as per my experience and the food is hygienic and the menu which followed is changed every 15 days. For 3 days we have Chicken. The registration process for hostels is you have to fill form for the availability of hostels. Affordability costs around 150000 a year. I don't know about the PG because I have not tried it yet.

Hostel Fee : INR 150000 per year

Admission :

This course has eligibility criteria of a minimum of 50 percent in 12th and 10th. You can find the application form at the UPES website, Application fees are around 1300, and application dates are announced after boards. I don't think requires any improvement.

Honest review on GBPUAT

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for Placement is semester 7 and 8 which is 4th year. A number of companies visit the campus including HCL foundation, ICICI Bank, Mother Dairy, Godrej agrovet Ltd. Etc. I myself am thinking of going into research field so i'll have to do further studies in the same field.

The placement shows quantity but not quality, in my batch 60-70% students were placed with a highest package of 5lakh per annum and minimum package of 2.4 lakh. As per fees of college the average package seems low.

This college has quite good placements for CS students. The average package of the college is 7 lpa which is quite decent. Last year the highest package offered was of 68 lpa at Palo Alto. The eligibility for sitting in placements are : - you should have a CGPA of 7 or above. - you are allowed to sit in placements from 7 semester.

Remarks:

I chose this college women institute of technology which is in Dehradun because it is the only government College which is for girls and it gives them technical knowledge. The college is funded by many government schemes which are very beneficial for us. We have different seminars winners from course in other things also to increase our soft skills as well as other skills. Hair in my 4 year experience I have learnt a lot a lot of things. We get free coaching for MTech i.e GATE classes and other employability training programs and that too free of cost.
