Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose the CSE program as I heard that MSIT has a good placement stats for the BTech(CSE) program. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:20. Most of the teachers are PhD graduates and use a blackboard/projector to teach the class. Term exams take place once every 2.5-3 months and are not very difficult to pass.

Placement Experience :

Placements of MSIT are very good compared to other private engineering colleges with an average package of about 6LPA. Students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester onwards. Different companies like Amazon, Accenture, Infosys, and TCS visit the campus for placements. More than 80% of students get placed on an average. I plan to do a job or run a startup after getting my degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee of the course is approx 1.35 lakhs per annum and is the same across all the 4 years. Although the fees are recently increased for freshers and are now about 1.5 lakhs per annum. Teachers do inform about scholarships that a student can avail when available.

Campus Life :

The annual fest/event of MSIT is Raunak which is not that big but you get the opportunity to visit ANUGOONJ (annual) and InfoXpression (technical) fests of IPU as a student of MSIT. There is a library as well as a book bank which has all the books a student will require throughout the course as well as some extra books of different genres. We got blackboards as well as projectors which are used by teachers to teach concepts to students. Sports culture and social life at MSIT as not good compared to colleges like DU colleges but you will be given the opportunity if you have the potential. There are different societies like Prakriti, NSS, ECell, and IEEE which students can join to improve their soft skills.

Admission :

The admission process was smooth and not so problematic. Admission was done based on the JEE exam rank and the cutoff of BTech(CSE) was approx 92 %ile. You just need to register on www.ipu.ac.in for admissions and then you need to fill your college and program choices based on your preference and previous year cutoffs.

Placement Experience:

The college placement record is superb. The placement was the main reason for me to be part of the college. The college management and placement committee work together to improve the placement quality and standards of the college. The college manages a record of 100% placements. The highest placement offers were around 55 LPA and the average placement record was around 18 LPA. I also received a placement offer of 21 LPA.
