Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose civil engineering because it has many opportunities in terms of building a great career in it. The faculty-student ratio is okay. Qualifications of the faculty members are genuine as required for their job. Term exams are conducted in a disciplinary manner. It is not that hard to pass.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I think that the fee structure is a bit high compared to the overall facilities. There are a good number of scholarships available for students. However it is not reliable as the stipend is not credited periodically.

Campus Life :

Life on campus is normal. Tech Fest was conducted last year. The library is not updated. Only study materials are available in the library. There is no playground for the College. But still, students on their own, practiced and went for f-zone competitions. Many social groups like NSS, clubs like ieee, iedc, natural club etc are available.

Hostel Facilities :

There are two hostels for girls. One for first year students and the other for the remaining. Hostel facilities are great. Quality of meal and menu is good. For boys, there is a shortage of hostel, so they are allotted to nearby house as PG. The locality people are a bit narrow minded.

Admission :

I appeared for the KEAM Entrance examination which is required to get a merit seat in Colleges in Kerala for Engineering. The application form is available on the KEAM official website. No, I don't want to see any improvement in the admission process.

Placement Experience:

The placements are more than decent as you get many opportunities to land a job before graduation. Provided you don't have backpapers which most companies wouldn't want in their candidates. Service-based companies such as TCS and Accenture take loads of students per year and pretty high-end companies visit too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum mainly focuses on the technical side of the subject being an engineering course. Mathematical models play a significant role in developing and extrapolating the syllabus to application level. Life sciences are also there as core subjects and electives in higher semesters. It heavily encompasses the general relevant technical aspects of modern biotechnology too.
