  • The college is little unorganised based on furure plans like what is to be consucted and when
  • The campus is small and doesn't have open space

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose interior design as my dad's business was related to automation and appliances. The teachers are young and understanding. They provide every facility, and any issues regarding the module are consulted to them, and they provide their best. Workshops are conducted. There are 30-35 students in each section. The faculty has changed now due to COVID-19. Even the faculty is trying to adapt to the rules and regulations of the institute. But try their best at everything It is affiliated with Bangalore City University if you choose a degree. Exams dates, course structure, and degree are all given by them. There are even degree, exams provided by JD itself. If you don't clear the exams, backlogs are given.

Internships Opportunities :

According to college, going to different companies for internships is a waste of time, as a student would take time to adjust there So for the past three years, a faculty member has been called in the college itself to give us knowledge about what happens on site and how it works.

Placement Experience :

There are JD design awards conducted in which professionals from different fields come and see the work performed by us. Opportunity is given on that basis Talking about placements, the college is affiliated with huge companies like Homeland, livspace. The placements are given based on your academic performance. There is no guarantee that each student will be placed. But they are placed on the basis of their performance. 50-60% of students would be placed. I would work in a smaller company to get more experience

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The few structure is 2, 50,000. There are 3 instalments provided a month after 1st is cleared. Online payment, cheque, and cash is all provided The scholarship is given on 95% or above. I'm a student here so haven't got a job yet.

Campus Life :

Talking about the campus. There are 3 blocks A, B and C. The campus is not open to nature and there is no playground. There are no more fests. There are JD design awards conducted at different art institutes where gatherings are done. There are design opportunities given. Limited books and journals would be available as per your course. Drafting tables and comfortable chairs are provided in the classroom. The presentations are shown on TV. One time a year annual sports are conducted where you can participate

Admission :

There was no entrance exam given. It is based on your 12 results if in case your results are not out then go with 10 results. The admission for me for done online as I was from the Covid batch. They explained to me every bit of work from what is provided to what is not. There is no change in the admission process as such

Placement Experience:

Only one batch has gotten placements from my college as we have only one proper graduating batch. Their placements went okay if I'm not wrong, with some getting placed in companies like nykaa, and ajio. But mostly the placements are not as good as they promise 100% placements but not everyone gets it.

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about college placement but for fashion technology average is around 4-5 lakh but if you get a pre-placement offer from an internship company your salary will vary according to that company. Around 90% of students are placed either from college or PPO. They also offer guidance regarding after graduation. They also have a master's program in case you want to pursue that.

Students become eligible for placements after their graduation project in the 8th semester which is the 4th year. A good number of companies around 8-10 come for the campus placements. The minimum package starts from 6 lakhs and can go up to 20 lakhs per annum. Almost 70% of the students get an on campus placement. Some get an off campus placement as well. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters in my field.

From the final year only and many top corporate hire students and gives them prominent roles such as design engineer or product manager. From Isro to Mercedes Benz, many government and private companies have tie ups with PESU who offers jobs to students in numbers. Most design student though go for entrepreneurship so only 60-70% students apply for job and out of which maximum students are placed through campus.

Placement Experience:

After the 8th semester a student becomes eligible for campus placements. Before that we can do internships. Multiple companies visit and the placement rate is about 85%. Even IT companies hire designers. The highest paid designer in our campus had a package of 1.25L and average is 25k. I'm planning on working for a while after my degree and then deciding on whether I want to do masters or not.

Before launching the course the university made tie-ups with various companies and design engineers at PES University don't have to worry about placements. In all there are two sections and 100 students in all for our course. Hence, the placements are close to one hundred percent. The average salary offered to design students are somewhere around 5 lakhs.

Interior design offered quite a few academic aspects which can also be applied in other courses. The curriculum is quite tough as compared to other courses but it being so helps in the real world where the work we have to put in ks quite alot.
