Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because I think AI and Machine learning is a growing sector nowadays. Facilities are good in my college and students are assigned one mentor also 3-4 students per mentor which is a good thing. Most of the faculties are for Ph.D. holders who have a good amount of knowledge. We have a total of 3 mid-semester exams in which we have to score well because a percentage of this will be added to our final semester marks. Exams are quite difficult to pass actually, you have to be attentive in class to pass the exam because the questions are quite good.

Class Size : 62Course Fees : INR 257000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Amazon, Tiger analytics, Zenken, Microsoft, IBM, Infosys ,TCS, Nutanix ,Fortex. and many more companies visit the campus and a lot of startup also comes. If you are good at academics the college may give you a good package.

Placement Experience :

Placement are okay okay but the placement of other branches are not good, the overall average package is 700000 but in it branches it is higher. The highest pakage is 4700000 in on campus. Off campus placement is 55 lakh.

Fees and Financial Aid :

The fee is 257000 and 15000 VTU fee. There is no such scholarship for students but the students who are admitted through kcet, they have very low tuition fees. they only have to pay 86000 rupees as tuition fee.

Campus Life :

Adyanta is the name of the college's annual fees. It is actually good last year Darshan Raval came to perform. The campus is quite small but it is beautiful also, the Temple especially is nice looking and calming. Classrooms are well maintained and have projectors also which are good for presentation. There are a lot of clubs also.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostels are good neat and clean but the rooms are small and the bed and wardrobe are not good also. Mess food is very nice the mess is also very clean. The registration process is also very simple for the mess.

Hostel Fee : INR 115000 per year

Admission :

I got into this college through the COMEDK quota. In COMEDK you must have at least 60% in PCM Subjects, that is the eligibility criteria. The admission process was smooth but I think the dates to report to the college and the starting of classes should be told in advance. In my case the class started 15 days after my admission so I have to travel again from my state Bihar to Banglore, I think this should be improved.

A Brief Review of My College (New Horizon College of Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering. It is a bit outdated, expect more applications of the concepts. As I said we have exams every month, the frequency is good and the difficulty of exams I mid to easy range.

Experience at new horizon.

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester onwards students are eligible for the placement. Alots of companies like VISA,IBM,Accenture etc2 visited our college. The highest package recorded as of 2023 was from VISA offering 32.2 lakhs. 90 percent of the students get placed. After I get my degree I will work for awhile in the corporate world and starting up my own business on the side.

Placement Experience:

Many top MNC's come to the college. Recently the placement opportunities has increased when compared to our batchs.Companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, SLK, Mphasis etc had given us the opportunity. The average package offer was 3.5lpa or 4lpa. The highest package known to me was 10lpa for a CS student not for us. The placements begins either at the end of 6th sem or in the beginning of 7th sem. Almost 60-70% of us were placed by the end of graduation but due to recession the onboarding was very late. Waited for more than a year to get onboarded.
