Course Curriculum Overview
I chose AIML as it is a course that has a lot of scope in the future and I am a computer enthusiast. We have a good faculty-student ratio, I don't know exactly but I think it is around 1:20. Most of our lectures are Ph.D. holders and are well qualified, they teach efficiently but at the end of the day, it depends on the students how much they understand, in my opinion, they teach pretty slowly so that the laggers can learn too. We haven't written the term exam yet.
Placement Experience
I am not sure because I am a fresher. But I think after 7 sem they are eligible for placements. all the details of placement are there on their official website: ncet.co.in, highest was 15lpa and the average was 5.5lpa in the year 2023. They say around 905 students got placed. I am planning to write GATE in my third year and get a seat in an IIT for mtech.
Fees and Financial Aid
As I got admission through KCET there is no fee hike for us. They charge a fixed amount of 15k rupees as a college fee. I got to know the management fee from my friends who took admission through management quota. It has 3 lpa for CSE, Info science, 2.5 lpa for AIML, and Data science. Students whose parent income is less than 9lpa get scholarships, I don't know how much because I was not eligible. OBC, SC, and ST students get scholarships, I would say through KCET it is affordable, but COMEDK and management its expensive.
Campus Life
Our annual fest is called Yuvothsava and it's conducted from 29 March to 1 April every year. There is a good amount of books available in the library and borrowing books is quite easy and reliable. I would say classrooms are not that good, less amount of fans, shortage of benches. I would say our college is a more study-oriented college, they don't give that much importance to extracurriculars. our minimum attendance is 85%. sports gear is there in good numbers I would say, but not that many free periods to play, and if there is a free period, the maths lecturer will take it. Clubs haven't started yet as our seniors are on holiday, they say it will start as soon as seniors come to college.
Admission
I had written KCET and got admission through KCET counseling. The last round cutoff for the course I opted for was 62355. Management seats can be opted through the official website: ncet.co.in. KCET admission was delayed rest was fine.
